Alright, ya'll are being WAY over-dramatic. There are MANY games on F95 with waaaaaaaaay worse endings than this.
The ending's got flaws, no doubt. Like, why the hell is Rachel leaving? She seemed a happy and willing member of the Harem.
And certain girls get only the vaguest blurb of acknowledgment.
But frankly, ya'll should have expected that. I did.
The game always had too many LIs and too many routes to give any one of them the amount of attention needed to satisfy. That's probably the single biggest reason I wanted a Harem Route. It's a flaw you find in EVERY game that gives you tons of LIs but only lets you keep one.
No matter which one you pick, they don't have enough content to justify a monogamy route. The only games that pull that off well are the ones with no more than 3, maybe 4 LIs at the most.
Since this is ALWAYS the great weakness of games that want to have both Monogamy AND a dozen LI options, this is always how it was gonna wrap.
So all that said, I thought this ending did a good job of wrapping up the MAJOR plot points and setting up an interesting sequel.
Don't get me wrong. Still pissed off at being forced to kill off Olga or give up everything else. Still annoyed there couldn't be a happier ending for Ghost Girl, even non-romantic.
But all in all i'm...mostly...satisfied with the ending. As much as anyone can be in a game that tries to do too much. And looking forward to the sequel.
My only suggestions for the sequel would be that if the Dev insists on Monogamy routes he NEEDS to ensure there's no more than three serious LIs. And if you're gonna include harem routes then recognize that no matter how loud the loud minority gets, the bulk of your players will pick the Harem route, so give it the attention it's due.
I'm assuming the next game will probably focus on a new main character, since there's WAY too many routes in this game and too many ending permutations to try and carry over into a new game. Again, one of those built-in flaws when you insist on too many monogamy-oriented LIs.
Either way, overall a solid B score. Could easily bump up to a B+ or A if the Dev ever circles back around to better flesh out the endings.
Seriously though, why the hell did Rachel leave?
