Oh, might take this opportunity to replay it. How early are cheats available? One of the things I think messed with the game was grinding for Legendary grade stuff, raised your level enough that things became too easy and grinding wasn't fun so I'll just give them to myself whenever I get a new weapon. I can take the opportunity to try and beat those fights you're supposed to lose too.

Also, just because I don't know if there will ever be a chance to fix some of these issues, the Legendary version of the Wolf Tamer staff and Molly's Buckler still have severe bugs. Wolf Tamer not decreasing target rate but hit rate for Ray instead, lowering her accuracy. And Molly's Buckler simply doesn't give any of the effects listed except for the +12% to all stats, meaning the Full-Party-Buff and Full-Troop-Debuff skills are completely unobtainable, and it also lists that enemies can receive +3 debuffs above the cap, and allies can receive 3 extra stacks of buffs above the cap, but neither of those are true also.

It wouldn't be as much of a bother if either the items were fixed, or even if the misleading parts of their descriptions were changed, but it's gonna be more noticeable, particularly with Molly's Buckler, since there's gonna be an influx of people playing/replaying the game, and have one of the ultimate/penultimate rewards not have the core functions it has listed work as intended is gonna be more on the forefront.

Also I am confused why the buckler's additional buffs don't even seem to work since the Team Captain armor basically does the same thing, but it actually applies properly.

How do I open the Silver Chest in the Basement? I'm assuming it's related to the bookshelf hint of 0451, but that's as far as I've gotten if it is.

I don't know who is in charge of tags, but could this thread be updated to include the 'ai cg' tag? I filter it out in my searches and was disappointed to see ai art crop up as soon as I started playing.
Thanks for the feedback. That’s not how the “ai cg” tag works. It’s meant for games that primarily use AI-generated character art or CGs, not projects where background elements were assisted with AI tools.

It’s a bit frustrating to see the assumption, because this game contains hundreds of hours of hand-drawn, original artwork. Real work by real artists. Suggesting the whole thing should be tagged as “ai cg” because of backgrounds (of all 160 tuned myself) dismisses that effort.

I’m also someone who prefers to filter out heavy AI-generated projects, so I understand the concern. If even light background assistance qualifies for the tag, it ends up hurting artists more than helping anyone’s 'filters.'

what the hell is with the AI backgrounds?
The backgrounds in this game were always generated by AI. They just looked so bad back in 2023, that people couldn't really tell?

Trust me, I really did try everything I could to avoid using AI-assisted backgrounds. I spent ages looking for alternatives: stock photos, asset packs, anything that could fit my game’s tone. But the reality is that a huge amount of stock art these days is quietly AI-generated anyway, sometimes even falsely marketed as real. And ironically, even when I used backgrounds that weren’t AI-generated, I still got accused of using AI.

At a certain point I just thought fine, screw it. It’s not like the backgrounds are replacing any hand-drawn CGs, or anyone's work. The backgrounds are just a way to avoid leaving players with flat colour washes, abstract smears, or blurry photos that break immersion.

And honestly? Most players seem to appreciate it. I’ve run polls, and the feedback has been that people would rather have an actual location backdrop, than a blurry gradient. And for a solo developer, it solves a massive problem that would either cost $10,000+ and months of dev time. I've had people suggest that I just pay someone for the background art, but I literally wouldn't be able to afford that. This game could not exist as it does without taking advantage of this tool.
I know it annoys some people who hate AI on principle, and I get where that comes from. I'm happy to continue rethinking this and finding a better solution. By all means, give me a suggestion. But like I already said, Monster Girl 1,000's background have been AI for over three years now.

The game actually has less AI content now. Half the entire point of the 2.0 update was to remove every single AI-generated character from the game. I spent two full weeks hand-drawing new art for Tamamo, Ulti, Erika, Mammon’s scene, Blackjack’s scene, Rosaria’s scene, and every remaining AI-generated NPC portrait was replaced with a silhouette.

I thought it'd be cool to fix the mistakes i made back in 2023 when AI just seemed like a new, cool thing back then. So it’s fucking frustrating to see people acting like the game has suddenly “turned into” AI content when I'm literally fixing it.

I see, my personal line for AI tolerance is lower than the average user. It's something I have moral objections to, and the backgrounds being majorly AI generated (I specifically stopped playing today at the Blacksmith's when the background looked generated and the layout didn't make logical sense, a hallmark of AI generation) really turned me off from the game. I don't believe that your game should be removed or anything close to that, it's just become more and more annoying to try to avoid AI content as its use has become more and more normalized. I sympathize with the issues that you've brought up and I don't think there is an easy answer, but on a personal level I would rather play no game than one that uses AI generated content (from your polls it sounds like I'm in the minority on this).

As for people suddenly crying out about the game being AI generated, I believe I've played sections of this game on previous releases (likely 6-12 months ago at the most recent) and I don't remember having any problems with it. I'm not sure if it's that AI outputs have settled into a more consistent 'feel' that's easier to detect, or if my personal tolerance for AI content has decreased, a combination of the two, or other factors entirely. I do appreciate you taking the time to actually talk about my concerns, and wish you the best in this and future projects.
