Python is a C framework in that case.Ren'Py itself is a framework, lol. Or more specifically a game engine for visual novels.
Depends how loosely you use the definition. Although there's no need to get so uppity when you couldn't even find the /game/ folder, lol.Python is a C framework in that case.
Im just dont know how popular renpy is.
Hmm? What you mean by that?Depends how loosely you use the definition. Although there's no need to get so uppity when you couldn't even find the /game/ folder, lol.
You don't really seem to understand how game development works with engines. Ren'py is a game engine written in Python which provides a framework for how games work. Deviating outside of that structure is much more difficult as a result, and Ren'py is traditionally a Visual Novel engine. Much in the same way that the original MGQ dev Chad Thundercock'd his way to a battle system inside a VN engine, Threshold has done the same for Ren'py. So, yes, it's chaotic in the code, doing something that the engine was not designed to handle.Hmm? What you mean by that?
Well its visual novel, not virtual. You don't really seem to understand how game development works with engines. Ren'py is also very popular, albeit not as popular as the RPG Maker series of engines. It's not popular with games targeting combat and generally more complex mechanics just by virtue of not being fit for purpose, but in the VN space it's extremely popular.
this is the most vapidly pedantic response i have ever seen on this website, and i was in the tot thread through multiple purges and thread locks.Well its visual novel, not virtual.
It can be done in a much more 'contained' way, i.e. without using/relying THAT MUCH on renpy-s labeling system, but on 'pure' python
And it didnt answers the question, whats there are in a /game/ folder that I cant notice.
Alright i was not looking in the right folder lol my bad. Yeah if you go on /game/gamecode, but still most of the files are .rpy scripts so we can clearly determine that Thresh is being limited by the game engine. But it's also true that there's some spaghetti code here and there, but i don't think being a smartass about it is helping anyway. Every dev has their own hacks and hidden code which are not the most optimized.Well its visual novel, not virtual.

Did it work same way if you start a new game?Is anyone else having an issue where character images just don't show up at all? Like whenever I talk to say, Vivian, nothing is there, it's just the background image and the text choices. This is happening with every character I've come across, but it isn't affect combat character images, so I can still see the red slime in combat but I can't see her after or before the combat encounter. For context, I am on android and downloaded a save file from here that has a bunch of skill points, 3 respecs, and 3 million eros at the start of the game. If anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Attached some images of the bug in game

Looks like save was made in too old/different game version, where sprite names was named/stored differently, which was stored into a save.It worked fine when I started a new game
It seems to only be affecting that specific save file I downloaded, and any saves I make from that original save file. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Also, unfortunately, I am not cj from grove street..
Damn, is there anyway for me to fix that? Or would I have to just move on from that save and find another maxed out save file?Looks like save was made in too old/different game version, where sprite names was named/stored differently, which was stored into a save.
Pardon my rudeness, but Were you looking for a game, or just some quick porn? In any RPG (even this one) you're supposed to grind your way through to get "rewards"/story progress. This game doesn't have a gallery unless you know a bit about Python (and the game coding mechanics, for that matter) or check out the game's image files, the latter needed to be assembled together in your mind and without text.Damn, is there anyway for me to fix that? I mean, the gallery is built throughout the game's story and sidequests, but it's not showed as such: after you unlock scenes you have to go look for them like you would do in an open-world game (knowing where they are and how to trigger them).Pardon my rudeness, but Were you looking for a game, or just some quick porn? Oh excuse me your excellence, next time I'll be sure to follow your perfect and absolutely positively CORRECT way to play the game that i downloaded onto my phone and am free to do whatever I want with. Would you be so kind as to hold my hand while you lead me down YOUR specific and linear path that I so desperately require?Pardon my rudeness, but Were you looking for a game, or just some quick porn?
