This one has been on my "play in the future" olist for a while, but I have one question. The game resembles to Tales of Androgyny, there was one thing about that game that I didn't quite enjoy and it was the fact that 90% of the content was about bottoming the mc and triying to actually win the fights had zero sense in terms of sexual content. From what I have been reading about this one the game seems that has some femdom, maledom and it is overall vanilla, is it true or should I expect a more submissive MC kind of content?
It's pretty balanced. About as many of the girls have victory scenes as have defeat scenes, and among the non-combat interactions with girls there is femdom, maledom, and vanilla.

I've got on Threshold's back about his turn-out, and he's explained that it was a constant cycle of going ham on content, burning out, taking a break, repeat. Honestly, as someone who has issues pacing himself on a job, I empathize with the mentality of not wanting to do that constantly. I wouldn't say this is an issue of milking supporters so much as it is about a) finding a comfortable work/life balance, and b) finding a safe equilibrium between main progression and character/side content.
If by comfortable work/life balance you mean one scene every month then damn, I guess we're the ones who are responsible for allowing dev to just put absolutely minimal work and walk away with it. Also the city content has been promised for more than 2 years ago and we barely got any update on it, even though the dev said that it would be the main focus.
I guess im just disappointed to see such a good game falling into the endless drag of zero story update for almost a year or two now. I used to play this game a crap ton and the story writing and world building was top notch, every characters felt passionately developed and written, and I was curious too see how the story was gonna go and what characters we can meet in the new area, but instead we just going back to add more scene for old character (which i dont mind but should it really be the focus?) and feels like we barely enter the city even though its out for like a year by now.

I personally don't like this framing like it's a scale.

Femdom <-> Vanilla <-> Maledom

Vanilla shouldn't be there.
Personally I view it as it's:

Either
Femdom/Maledom. Very rare nondom.

Either
Vanilla/Hardcore. No middle.

You can be both Vanilla and Femdom.
You can be both Vanilla and Maledom.

An example of Vanilla femdom, in my opinion, is a hot oni girl getting so hot and bothered by you rubbing aphrodisiac on her by accident, she tosses you onto the bed and rides your dick till your hips are sore.
An example of Vanilla maledom, in my opinion, is a lactating Minotaur being flustered about her lactation so you suck on her nipples while you pound her.

You can also be both Hardcore and Femdom.
You can also be both Hardcore and Maledom.

An example of Hardcore femdom, in my opinion, is getting physically exhausted by a girl, and while you're exhausted she sticks her tail up your ass and forces more orgasms out of you while you don't want to.
An example of Hardcore maledom, in my opinion, is tying up a Hellhound pinning her to the bed and fucking every visible orifice you can see until she's a white stained mess on the bed.

Try redownloading it and saving over the corrupt file? Or you could create a zip file by the same name and drag it onto your download folder so it asks you what to do with the duplicate to which you can answer overwrite.

Is the game at a point where there are endings yet or is it still fairly far from completion? I am just curious how much content we are working with right now since it looks really appealing to me.

Considering beyond the city we've got at least two of the four "bosses" to deal with before we even get to the Demon Queen, we're YEARS away, especially with the pace and variety of content put out.

Threshold drops updates for free, so not really much you can complain about as the game isn't paywalled,
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I wish more of these sorts of content were looked at for AFTER the core of the game was more fleshed out. Even if I'm being "unfair" it doesn't feel like that to me when we supposedly have desert and other regions that haven't even remotely been touched yet. To say this game has a major "content creep" problem is in my view completely accurate.

The game is over seven years old and we aren't even halfway done with the main story. I think it's entirely reasonable to think that the main story to be worked on instead of what has been for the past couple/few years now. I mean no ill will in saying this, it's just really disappointing considering I genuinely like this game.

Thanks for the info. The game looks really good but I'll probably put it off for some time given that. Definitely, anyone who puts out their content for free can do what they want but yeah, it is a bit disappointing hearing this. Thanks again.

that being said, the game IS over 7 years old, and a ton of content has been added.
as Gojii said, the game won't be completed in a long time, but I still recommend giving it a try - what's there is really good.

It's probably a good thing that you aren't making the game then. Sprinting through the main story then adding all the side content after everyone has already finished the game would be an absolutely moronic way to do it.

I was just about to make a post about this game still being kinda alive.
Then i saw recent peeps talking about the issue and realize people have noticed.

I don't think this game was intended to be a cash grab but the dev hit wall of reality and lost interest...
No more like passion.

I could of said this game was basically dead early last year but if you say shit too early.
It won't be received well.

The game is literally free, man :(
All the content is still there and honestly it's one of the best content a game like this can get.
I think a lot of people here are so bitter mostly because of the *type* of content we've have been getting this years, which is obviously fair. If you don't happen to be into Femdom Witches, well too bad - that's the content you're getting for the next 1-2 years. The fact that the last couple updates weren't city related also doesn't help, just characters we've known for a long time now.
as to why, well, someone already spelled it out on the thread - I dont feel like repeating it. I just feel like calling authors "hecks" over a free game on this forum is too much, even for a rage bait.

A lot of the other characters are still getting content right?

Like... Belle for the longest time only had femsub scenes, and she got femdom scenes relatively recently.
Ceris got more maledom stuff in her visitation stuff, which got expanded.
The city Voltins so far have a focus on more maledom stuff too.

I think it doesn't matter where you are sexually the game's generally been catering to everyone scene wise.

CG wise though, the game's definitely been catering a bit more to the femdom side though.
Mimic's CG, Ceris' CG, and now Bed-chan's CG.

It's funny, because combat wise Ceris usually doesn't wind up on top for me text wise. Like... she usually initiates paizuri stance, and if we somehow manage to get in sex stance, my MC is usually domming her, because letting her lead is insanely dangerous.

But Threshold did say that the art is being drawn on the artist's time. Letting them draw what they want, and including that in the game even if it unbalances the sexual content a bit should be fine. What matters is it getting done in the first place imo.

I think the reason people complain about those newer updates is because they don't progress the story, thinking of it as filler.
Although I do love those updates - for example, we recently got new Ancilla and Trisha content, and I happen to be a fan of both of them. There might be a bigger problem under the surface, but currently I am okay with the story not progressing all that much, I was always here for the girls and they deliver. (Not saying the plot itself is bad, I just don't understand people wanting more focus on it, since the main thing about it was always the mystery, not big decisions or sudden tone shifts.

Being honest, I was always a firm "50/50" believer, people who say otherwise simply view the content they want to view.
