I only remember to dont get slimed too far and stock up on heals and energy? Honestly dont remember much in the way of actual strategizing other than that, wailing on her and checking weaknesses lol, maybe a food buff which I dont remember which one I got. Failed my first attempt cuz of the sliming thing, and that's the only thing I paid attention to afterwards, tho being decently lvled also helps, I think someone mentioned a recommended lvl?

No. There are a lot of good mods (I like Mari the Butterfly myself) but none that are required.
Not really, no. The mods for the most part add extra content, scenes, or even characters. There's also cheat mods if you don't want to struggle. But the game itself has enough content that mods don't feel like a necessity unless you've already explored everything somehow and want more (I still haven't seen everything)

I really like Battle Sound Effects and the Insertion Mod, but I don't think they're necessary to play the game.
Battle Sound Effects helps immersion, and the Insertion Mod, lets more monstergirls proactively seek intercourse.

She tricks you and sends you to an Alraune that fucks you.
She tricks you and sends you to campers that fuck you.
She tricks another girl to try and stop you, which incidentally gives her a goal and something to focus on while she's facing an emotional and physical roadblock.
How can you hate that? Like... you don't even have to interact with her at all if you don't take her quests or work at the brothel.
Well, Nara is acceptable, in my eyes. The rest are, as outright stated, tricks. She lies through omission by not giving you all the info needed, FORCING you to do something you might otherwise not want to do, something that might have been a deal breaker that would have led you to not accepting the quest in the first place had you actually been given the info. Not to mention the whole "soul-sucking" thing with the succubus campers that's been discussed to death already.
You get to bust a nut, sure. Does that instantly make it all okay? No. No, it doesn't. Lying like that is still a scummy as fuck thing to do any way you slice it.

In that setting where nothing really bad can happen to you, she's basically just like an aunt setting you up for crazy blind dates.
With the recall stone you're not in any danger.
And she's doing a solid for most of the girls if you think about it. Nicci can't move and she's powerful enough that I assume the enchantment doesn't lead many adventurers to her naturally before they outgrow the forest.
So yeah the little trickery is completely harmless. With the one exception of the campers and that's a special case she couldn't see coming.
Also, she never forces you to do anything you might not want to do. Nicci's the one who attacks you. The game won't let you play an asshole so you do not get the option of just letting the campers starve.
I'm with Aesthetic here. Vivian's fine. You guys are overexaggerating.

The soul-sucking thing nearly did happen, though. It's only due to the timely intervention of the other two that you do survive, so no, nobody is exaggerating. And Nicci is powerful enough where her pollen isn't just an aphrodisiac, but borderline strong enough to lure most adventurers into her clutches. Vivian opting to set Nicci up with free food is fine. It's that she isn't up front about the conditions involved. If you wanted a friend to help you with something and they omitted details that would impact your decision ahead of time, you'd be rightfully pissed.
Also, addictions are a real thing in this world, as we've seen with the manticore. So, Nicci's pollen is potentially screwing up an adventurer who huffed it too long. I wouldn't call that harmless. I also feel Vivian should be aware from past adventurers and even the trio of campers that yeah, one has a bit of a restraint issue. That's information you figure out ASAP so you don't have an avoidable accident. That's basic common sense.
Your whole "she never forces you to do anything you wouldn't want to do" is such a stupid and detached perspective. Millions of Amazon workers don't have to work for that company. They also don't have to eat, have a roof over their head, etc. Our character is in fucking debt. The central plot of the entire game is a pretty damn good excuse to do the side jobs Vivian asks of you, conditions notwithstanding. Someone in a desperate enough situation is going to shovel shit with their hands for a few dollars. Vivian preys on desperation, and the entire system that put you in debt is designed to ensure you're desperate.

The 2nd literally outright almost kills you, and yes, it was fucking intentional, se knew jennifer and the other big boobed one are complete morons, and knew that cathrine wass a newbie succubuss, that was a disaster waiting to happen, she tricked you and sent you there knowing that, that's attempted murder, she has zero fucking sympathy from me

Vivian gave me Nara, so that's a definite positive in my eyes, since she's one of my favorite girls in the game. Other than that, though...let's say I wouldn't mind giving her a few George Costanza-esque whacks with the Demon Layer. I'm already in debt, woman. You're making this shit more of a hassle for me. I think she deserves SOME kinda punishment, even if it's just comical punishment.

I do not think Vivian was trying to kill us by sending us to the campers. I do however get the impression she's trying to stop us from advancing in general by trying to get us hooked on someone.

Nara should consider getting a better career choice, dancing is not helping her in adventuring
I know that the world of sunshine rainbows cotton candy and chocolate in thresh's mind would never actually write something with serious implications more than once (kotone), but that's how it narratively ends up looking, even at best she still impedes you without conssent, some people in the thread are letting their masochistic desires allow a woman walking over them like this
hardly that funny and hardly sexy either, vivian is one of my least favorite designs in the game

Still, I explained earlier that Vivian was taking advantage of Nara's loss of her best friend to match her with the PC, Vivian admits to this. There's a million fucking ways the PC-Nara interaction could've gone wrong realistically, but we aren't given the choice to cook Nara in-game for her pathetic way of trying to fight mongirls, or just get mad at her and leave by using magic to break through the barrier she makes.
Moreover, having a woman recovering from depression dance on a mountaintop/cliff is....not something you want if you're concerned for her well-being. Especially when said woman is still somewhat depressed. Especially when said woman has fallen down multiple times and would've died if it weren't for harpies watching over her. PC at least knows about the harpies, Vivian has 0 clue and still lets her do so.
