Yeah he said it was a lost cause to try and finish it today which is understandable, I’d rather wait so we don’t get cut content or a buggy mess. My guess would be the weekend as he seems almost done with the content/programming but will likely need some extra time for bugs. I can’t image it would be later than Monday.

You'll be happy to learn that Thresh and several others have been mentioning that the next update would likely be out the 15th (today), or the day after. So, baring any incidents, expect to be playing it before the weekend.

I mean, the original plan was to have the whole thing done last year's easter, or a week or two after. That is not at all what happened. xD
I def wanted it done this month but the stuff is taking a while.

I love MGD and have respect for Threshold, with that said, progress has slowed considerably as of last year. I think he should consider taking a few months off and pausing the Patreon to take a break. He's been working on this game since 2017 and anybody would get burnt out being on the same project for all that time. Threshold, if you read this, know that we only want the best for you and to take care of yourself.
I'm pretty new to this game but the moment I saw "15th is my deadline but it really should be done much earlier" and then the inevitable "idk when" it's pretty obvious that this game is going through what every other porn game is going. I'm not sure what exactly causes this in smut game development but literally every single one I've seen extends deadlines or goes past them. I've come to expect and not care about it since I don't pay a penny for any of 'em, it'd be entitled to whine about it while not paying.

This issue exists for any project management. Threshold's dates are not exactly deadlines but instead are expected days of completion. Thresh has a way of adding a lot more scope to a project which greatly extends the time it requires. From what I can tell the duration of this last update is far more due to working on too much compared to working too little.
In general smut games are fueled by lots of motivation early on and as the scope widens, it becomes so much more difficult to stay nearly as motivated. In many cases they do not bring in enough money and end up not being worth the effort above and beyond the day job.
The pandemic and trying to adjust definitely hits harder than people realize, but in this case it seems like his “deadline” was based off of the ideal work plan which generally never happens. I also do this all the time when programming and it’s so easy to fall into the trap of adding just a bit more or reworking x system as well as dealing with unexpected bugs. Still I’m happy to wait with the amount of content (as well as art) seemingly coming in this update, I just hope this doesn’t become a usual thing.

I'm back again, thanks for the build advice, swapping to a Tech/Int build really made things run a lot smoother, though it does feel a bit weird to play a battle fuck game where my plan is to avoid fucking as much as humanly possible. Anyway, now that I'm at the end of progression and just building up all the relationships on the side, I had a few more questions, less gameplay related and more about future development of the game.
1: Is romance intended for every named character? Given that the game is still being made, it's hard to tell if everyone is intended to go deeper or just remain someone you can bang. Also on that note, how much content is the expected average per character? I doubt everyone will have as much as say, Kotone, but some like Minoni you enter a relationship with pretty quick and I don't see anywhere for it to go once sex is enabled. This isn't a criticism mind you, I just want to know what the general plan is for characters in general.
2: How locked in is Minoni's romance? When you unlock her scenes, her body sees you as her mate but you can be vague about how deep the relationship is. Related, but if that means it is locked in, is there a way with save editing to reset back to before unlocked that content? My understanding is that there's plans for harem endings and individual romances, so I'm trying to keep my file on the brink of romances so I don't need to make new characters for them (though that's obviously thinking very far ahead). I saved after unlocking her stuff though so I want to know if I need to or can back out to keep that path open. I suppose it's also relevant for Kotone but I'm pretty sure I can just undo hypnosis at any time to break that off if I want.
3: This one is a bit loaded, but how exactly does undeath work in this setting? Specifically in regards to Feng. There's a lot of semantics about biology I could get into but that's more me thinking harder then I should be about magic. I'm basically just trying to gauge to what extent she is effective a different form of alive or just a body moving around thanks to magic. Again, sorry if this comes across as... I"m not sure what negative word to use. The thought just creeped into my head and I'm trying to dislodge it.
