It is funny how the most vocal always seem to be the ones who swear to never give the dev a single cent.

well the thing is, not everybody have money or conditions to help the dev or maybe just don't want to pay but everybody may have opnions that improve the game, the real problem here is how people give their opnion and not about giving their opnion without paying, giving constructive criticism and of course an idea completely or possibly within the game universe( giving an opinion that not completely contradicts the game universe) is not wrong even without paying.

ThresholdMGD is creating a special and unique game
not some generic text game..

and he always wanted to add cgs
he said this in his first post on this thread (page 1):

In time the plot will develop to be a bit less generic rpg fantasy, but it is the overall setting.

I do intend to eventually add official character/scene art some point down the line. I don't know when that will be.
It definitely won't be all at once. But I do know most people prefer art over text.

Male will be the only playable gender that I will be working on for the game and it's main story.
Or the game scope would easily go flying out of control.
Later down the line I intend to dedicate some time to setting up the option for alternate starts which can be completely different than the one I am developing for modders to use easily. I have no idea when this will be added.

maybe you haven't noticed it yet but every "GOAL" on his patreon is about adding more art per month
also being able to work on the game full time...
and yes i know these patreon "goals" mean jack shit and are only there to get more free milk from dump cows..

about that, I really would really like this game even more with some CG's I know this game is a text-based game(I have to say this game was the first text-based game I played so I didn't know this type of game existed) what I mean is the dev plan to put some CG's so yeah this didn't totally break all game idea but I agree with you that keep saying "I want more CG's" isn't construtive.

for now we have some CG's for kotone and aiko but look's like this game will have a lot of CG's in the future(I hope).

yes, he have but it's change bit by bit,I think that in the project start the dev didn't expect the game to be so accepted so a text-based game(has less cost) would facilitate the process of finishing the game without spending a lot of money or maybe it would be a good demo,in the end this game received a lot of contribution which allowed the addition of images and CG's.

Well, on one hand the "text-based game" moniker is a bit misleading in this case, since CG is already in the game, more CG is on the way and actually has always been planned it seems. An actual text-based game to me would be corruption of champions.
Also, whilst I'd really like to see more CG, complaining about it is completely missing the point of the game imo: The characters themselves. It's like all those people treating the japanese mosaic censorship as if it outright ruins the entire picture/video/game.
I find their lack of imagination disturbing...

MGD for example contains a shitload of scenes but the vast majority of them by far have no CG's. Yes, major characters will likely receive some CG's at some point in the future but the majority of the experience will always consist of reading.

Agreed on the characters though. The writing is why I follow this game, if I just want to look at pretty pictures there's a near infinite supply across a wide range of medias. I do appreciate the art that is in the game but it's complimentary to the game rather than being the be-all end-all to obsess over.

This is basically where I'm coming from. A lot of us don't donate for every game we DL on here, so idk why someone has to make a huge deal about it? lol. Funny shit when someone can be on here for the past couple years going "hurr hurr they made x money buy arts" and then leaks said art they're bitching about them not buying, low asf IQ, lmao.

My main thing is Threshold has been really chill and taken input even from people who DONT donate on here.

I think post-labyrinth I think the city could see a lot of content. Personally I could see maybe some content involving lamias/nekos in the desert looking area on the other side of the mountains, could have the lamia content go into the whole "choking" stuff some like (not really my thing). Maybe make it so the top lamia waifu (one of the Demon Queen's tops) is really weak to it and is a huge M once you break free from her basically necessitating high specs to beat her as a sort of endgame boss? Would be cool.

Could be a massive amount of content to work with there. Maybe even an outright oni/ogre village on the other side of the mountains for some more snu-snu content, lol. A lot to look forward to. I'd love a plot twist that the Demon Queen was one of the characters we saw the whole time.

I don't like feeling I have to "Defend" anything. I like what progress has happened the last couple months, finally getting through the content of Labyrinth. Hopefully we see it done and move onto the rest of content next couple/few months. I can forego an extra app or drink at a bar a month and toss a bit their way to see it get done. If people who don't contribute anything of any merit wanna bitch and moan have at it. Nobody will take you seriously.

The spinoff of FOBS just got canceled because the new partner bailed and then there's the nearly $100.000 disaster that was Monster Girl Island. Not only that but then we have Tower of Tramples's developers, BoWei and Koda who's names have become synonymous with the word "Delay".

All things considered, supporters are right to be suspicious of the crowdfunding model in this climate.

And? I think Thres has been pretty transparent and open about development, the actions of other people who have no affiliation with him don't reflect on him.
If you don't want to support him that's fine, I respect that 100%. If you want to critique him/the game, I respect that too.
But constant, incessant complaining because the game isn't being developed 100% to your liking or because you want the next update NOW is brutal to see and it feels like every time I get an alert from this thread there's at least one of those posts.

All those games and people have nothing to do with this dev, what's the relevancy here? If you feel fucked just stop donating on patreon or whatever. And if you never donated it's impossible to get fucked.

(it's also succubus territory)
The City Dungeon is most likely in the casino or a prison

i agree with your idea that the desert is full of lamias/nekos and other such monster:
(sandworms, cactus girls, more lizards, scorpions maybe some nomads and camels)
The Dungeon for the Desert is definitely a pyramid
(with mummies, genies, more lamias, shadows and golems)

then the Demon Queen's Castle will most likely have the queen obviously and:
(the black knights, gargoyles, demons, vampires and other top tier undeads also maids)

and i still hope someone will pick up my idea of a spaceship mode...

im also thinking of the ship. being some kind of explorer or scientist
full of different captured aliens and security/assist android
and the comander is some busty nerd (who's hyped about being on a planet full of different specimens)
while the captain is just happy they didn't crash in the mountain.
the player can eider help them repair the ship or get them to stay for studying and love making

i would also like a side quest where they try to capture a angel or the demon queen or the goddess (for study)
(possible as a end game content after the player levels up to a literary sex god)
(also there are many kinki experiments)
so many possibilities

i think the large empty grass areas are perfect for crash landing

i also hope for a grand final in which the mc teams up with the demon queen
who is probably just a powerful lamia who likes ice cream
and ventures into the celestial realm to battle fuck the angels and headpat the goddess into submission
after that ominous antagonist beneath the island corrupted the goddess in order to destroy the world

i also hope someone makes a big mode including a big spaceship crash landing on the island
or a mode with pirate girls and sea monster girls who fight each other around the island
or a mode with amazons tribes living on the small islands south of the river
then there is the big farm...

There are a bunch of people who don't want to throw a dime to Putrideon (there's SuscribeStar, but I can't picture it being much better). Hell, if I had his adress, he'd get a raunchy new year postcard with some green in it (yes, a bill. What else?). But Putoreon? No way. Thresh owns the assets anyway, all he'd need is credit Gren's creator - I doubt they'd mind.

Anyway, same old: wait and see. Keeping this thread a little cleaner wouldn't hurt MGD's image, just saying. Now to unwatch this... Again.

PS: and yes, MGD could use some outer-space cuties. Like the bop-it mod, that'd make for some short, fun side stories. I'd take that over, say, some bunny hogging precious dev time for much less fun. That'd be more relaxing for the dev, too. But that's easy to say in hindsight...
