After three years of being around this thread, I still haven't finished a single playthrough.

Sure, I ran into the Threshold "you can't access the capital, sorry" thingie, but that isn't important. I mean, when I see this, I just backtrack and go cuddle with Ancilla (back when Sofia told you she couldn't show you her true form), have socially awkward fun with Tabitha since I'm an avoidant myself, or go back to Trisha to have her get all flustered about foot fetishes. Then I realize I completely forgot about Kotone even she had a massive art addition and is one of my favorites as well, even though I'm no hypno fan...

If you want the fun to last, play at your own pace and enjoy it the way it is meant to be enjoyed: read all of the dialogue, explore all of the sex actions, maybe even try all of the battlefuck options, and don't forget to boost your interactions with every single NPC as well.

It's simple, really. Hell, I hate playing as a male protagonist and this didn't bother me even one bit here because the dialogue is epic, the CGs are damn cute and the interactions are fun and immersive. And the battlefuck system is quite refined to be honest - not many games give you this much detail on what each move does and what to expect (not just the "lust damage formula" estimate).

Most text-based games are fast because they aren't this deep and just random dialogue slapped with random assets. Which really makes me cringe when it just happens to have fetishes I enjoy and the low-effort dialogue destroys it all, especially with tons of typos or completely broken NPC encounters.

Look man, it's nice that you're enjoying the game, but telling me off by "bro just replay lol" isn't the way to go about it.

The game has development pace problems. That's all I said. Stretching what content there already is to make up for the lack of updates isn't an argument.

And before everyone shits on me, I do love the game, it's just that by the time I joined, the bunny girl's fight update was due and it got delayed to hell and back. It was just one fight. That doesn't ring well for the game's future and I'm hesitant to be a patron because of it. There seems to be serious burnout issues or whatever else.

to be fair venefica got a 2 stage boss fight with elly support and 4 refight options
+ a mini dungeon and a long side quest
that's more than any other girl get (greedy choco bunny)

but i agree that burn out must have hit harder than thres admits...

No, he said "play the game properly". As in fully explore the content already available; you might have, you might not have, but I'm also sure 80% of us (myself included) have missed a lot of funny lines here and there.

You make a good point and I don't disagree. But please be constructive about it. No country was ever founded by just bitching around.

From my point of view, if I were to try and sum up and order the issues in the last year (and a half):

1- Feature creep. Breaks mods, slows everything down to a halt. Everyone likes features, but the balance's off (against content's ie new enemies, story and areas). That's why I'm personally bitching against CGs and such.

2- Too much focus on just 1 girl at a time. It started with Kotone, and the current depth aimed for each individual girl is too much. It's fine if a mob enemy is a mob. Mods can add to this, like for the imps back in waifupocalypse's time. But if you add too much to every girl, we have less room for our own interpretation/imagination. Profit VS dev time ratio suffers.

3- Too much attention towards requests. Foot fetish, femdom, maledom, more sub, more dom... There's no end to it. It was fine when Threshold wrote whatever the hell he felt like (and William casted his magic afterwards). It's fine to have specialized enemies, and it's fine to leave them be until the dev really feels inspired in this or that new scenario/skill/scene.
Force a writer to write, you'll kill the writer. Looking at you, bunny. She finally got wrapped up, but she should have been left in a corner until the idea had matured - like Trisha or Mika.

I'm not sure whether to be impressed or weirded out by the fact that you went back pages to get someone's comments to make a point. I'll concede I hadn't realized I had been making pretty much the same exact comment every time I came here, but the issue is there isn't much to talk about in a situation of content drought.

"game make slow" is still pretty much my only thought about this game, and if that's not constructive eh, idc, this isn't exactly a beacon of intellectuality. I doubt any of the devs care about what is being said here to begin with, what with this being a piracy forum and all.


On another note I don't find any of what you said to be an issue, the game is already a pretty niché fetish game to begin with, and many of the fetishes you talked about are pretty much in line with the target demographic of the game, and I find more focus on singular girls to be better than a wide variety of just combat fucks.

And I'm pretty sure some country, somewhere in history was probably built by literally bitching around.

Besides TiTS and CoC2 (which both receive a frankly ridiculous amount of patreon money) a lot of other text based erotic games also proceed very slowly. Liliths throne development is snail paced, night games hasn't received a major update in well over a year, etc.
There's probably some burnout going on here, but Thresh at least communicates regularly and doesn't just go completely radio silent, which is better than a lot of ero-game devs.

TiTS is a fetish fest and it's a really great game that still gets updated monthly. It's sad that it doesn't have the images in the Android version.

While CoC2 is an upgraded CoC with some portraits for most NPC's and the new battle system for it is sleek. In my opinion, it already surpassed my expectations as a text game with the content it has already.

I like both games and are still on my phone as I update and play them all over from time to time.

The short answer is, he is.

The longer answer is, the next area not only has higher level enemies, but a puzzle to solve that he's had to work out how to code into Renpy. Patience, padawan.

We know that the next areas will be :

- The Labyrinth (Hell Hounds Sisters 100 %)
- Monster Girl Capital City (EDIT : with casino dungeon)
- The Dungeon for the Capital
- The Desert
- The Dungeon for the Desert
- Demon Queens Castle (probably Black Knight and 100 % Monsters Girls Queen)

Did I miss something ?

I thought I would try this game out since I have heard many good things! Really enjoying it so far, my only concern is I cannot get the Mari mod to work. I get a traceback error every time.

I have done some reading thrugh the forum already and its not that I have downloaded the source code rather than the mod, I have checked that already. There is also no subfolder I need to delete, Mari the Butterfly is the first folder in the mods folder.

I cant find any other troubleshooting tips, can anyone suggest anything else?

I'm guessing it's an issue with an older mod on newer versions. Mods tend to break if they aren't updated, thanks to coding changes. Did you get the mod from the github link on the wiki? because that one is out of date. there's an updated version on the discord that may work.

Thats definitely it, never been on the discord but I got the link first from the wiki and then from this thread so must be out of date. To the discord I go then!

Yep mods are always very nice for this game.

Thanks to the comment above yours I learned that some updated mods can be found on the discord rather than on the wiki.
Didn't know that and since then I'm still having an old version of the game just to have all my mod working.

BTW regarding next locations, I can't wait before we reach the desert. I don't know which Monster's girls Threshold will choose, but all desert Monsters girls are god tier.

You can find your saves in "game/saves". Just copy that folder in the updated version of the game.
Then load your old save while you are in town. That is all.

Actually, RenPy saves to %appdata%/RenPy/GameName, at least on windows, although those files MAY work if something's blocking the regular save methods.
If it actually doesn't save there, then there's likely something deeper at work. I have never needed to transfer saves manually between updates of RenPy games at least.

However if the issue isn't that saves are missing but crashing on load, then answer is the very clearly statement in every update post: SAVE IN TOWN. That'll prevent the save from crashing on load, most of the time.

well actually I never tried to use a old save to play a new update so I dont know how this works everytime that a new update is release I just play all game again, sometimes making "bad" choices just to see what happens.

a) in the old version, you save in town
b) in the newer version, you load from a) them go R-click, 'options', 'update save'
