Did you guys see the new Shizu CG teaser for the patrons?
What's the verdict? What are everyone's opinions? I myself am a big fan, because we get to see new expressions on Shizu we've never seen b4.
I think the proportions are a bit off...
I always pictured Shizu to be taller, but now she feels like she'd be the same height as her kunoichi trainees.
Elena is a nice and funny character in her role in the game, I just see her as being a "too real" depiction of women that wait too long to marry/have children.

She's a fantasy barbarian type that can drink gallons of alcohol and dressed in DQ3 warrior bikini armor when adventuring.
Personally, I think she'll be fine. She's hot, has money, and her shit together for the most part. If all she wants is a monogamous relationship in a setting where that's not normal, that's honestly not that big of an ask.
Doesn't the story say that a lot of adventurers can't even get past the forest because they get elven wives? If the guys in that world are that easy, she'd have no problems if she actually took dating seriously. Seriously... all she needs to do is relocate off of Lucidia, and she'll bag a guy within a week. Even if she stays I doubt she'll even have to wait a year, even as lackadaisical as she is.
That is kinda a design flaw from the developer though, namely the desicion to just make "sex" one stance, which is pretty stupid. It is not only stupid because it either limits the art for the scenes or makes one sided art that does not really fit when the circumstances are different, but it is inherently kinda stupid mainly because both opponents always wanna fuck the other, and who is currently dominant should mainly be decided by the position they are in at the time, or if restraints, exhaustion or mind control are a thing thats currently happening.
A male would have almost no chance to "counter fuck" a heavy monster girl sitting on top of him, so his course of action would be to first change positions and put the girl into a less dominant position from which she cannot dictate the pace nearly as much. Having 2 or 3 different stances that can be changed with a good roll, with different risks and rewards, would be much better for most things, including CG.
The two solutions to the problem you've found from what I've seen are from MGE and AppleRooftop.
AppleRooftop does something similar to what you're saying. They have poses and animations for combat, and on your turn when you're the aggressor it animates you thrusting and dominating, and on the enemy turn it animates them thrusting and dominating. It's obviously a lot of work, so the animators limit themselves to 4 frames, which is barely enough imo XD. But it's still A LOT considering all the animation needs.
MGE just... poses the characters in a way where you can't assume sex position. Catgirl "could" be doggystyle or reverse cowgirl. You can't actually make any assumptions based on the art because of the way it's framed and drawn.

There was a conversation there recently about how the addition of animations actually negatively impacts that design decision but mods power-tripped and removed the convo.
I assume MGD could take the MGE approach since the CG is very limited, but that would require a lot more creativity in how the poses are framed, and it might not satisfy the fantasy of a lot of scenes in the game. Like... Elf CG makes a ton of sense if you consider how it's supposed to happen normally in game.
Yeah, it looks good. Fight stance CGs are particularly tricky because they have to work for both the player or the girl being on top, but this could pass as either I think.
