Joke's on you all, I will make use of the Holy Headpat to defeat the Demon Queen and make her my waifu.
Goofing around aside, that would be the funniest thing in the endgame. The only way to deal the finishing damage to beat her is to use it otherwise after a few turns at 1 HP she fully heals and you're fucked (literally).

She's effectively the opposite of Sofia, energetic bubbly and affectionate. Therefore a Headpat from the "cute" hero will make her melt.
(Edit: This is my headcanon btw, but I'd love it. We've got a lot of grumps and/or total softies (usually with a shell to break down) with little in between so an overly familiar/affectionate type like that that MC is constantly being hit with status effects by as a result would be great, make it like hellscape difficulty sofia, but cuddlier. Do the trope of the demon queen having plushies and such of the MC in her room for additional silliness).

i mean her reaction is understandable, holy magic is quite literally anti monster girl, and for a war veteran it's the equivalent of raising a gun against her, while she knows she can't die nor that the mc has lethal intent, you dont want someone waving around a gun (holy skill) around when its the eqvuialent of severe peanut allergy to you

Or they don't know much if anything at all about the sigil. For example the Tengu tries to enslave us when we lose but we always just teleport away, so I think it's a little more complicated.
