Damn, it's really unfortunate to see the development of this game so incredibly slow, but not just that you can see a lot of the modders just are kind of done with it, a lot of them hinting at or citing that reason, such as their mods constantly being broken by small updates that barely add anything.
Which also sucks as a player, since some of those mods are some of the best and add incredible content.

I hope at some point a big update or at least some more community involvement picks up again and sparks some interest. The modding community brought so much content, but it's so dead even the great mods that the original authors of said people can update/fix for the new versions aren't being fixed, not to mention any new ones.

I at one point wanted to make a mod for the game due to how much I really liked the pacing back when it was gaining traction but ultimately I never did because of both even from what I played from the game It left me with little to work with when I wanted to make a crossover mod that tried to be lore friendly, (I doubt there's much now that would fix that) 2 the crossover also was with another H game that's become a pateron milking simulator This was around the venefica update mind you so there's already been introduction to a few new tools that would have alleviated the more creative side of things leading to 3 my lack of skills of a coder and as an artist (mainly needed the art stuff to create a custom map and unique icons). between then and now I definitely have developed as an artist but it's sad to see that while I spent some of my time developing those skills nothing of not has happened within the 3ish years of that update. Hell patreon milking game 2 has still made more progress than MGD even if it's bacame a clusterfuck.

It bears mentioning that progress on MGD is made and released on a monthly basis (or near-monthly, when the next update is a big chunk of content that can't just be split into smaller chunks), with new content across the board.

If you are unsatisfied with the game's pace, I would honestly invite you to take up game development, if only for a small project, as a trial kind of thing. Godot, for example, is a very convenient game engine, which greatly facilitates building your own projects. But even then, lot of work goes into game development, and keeping up said work on a monthly basis is no small feat.

As for modding, I cannot say the sentiment is shared.

• First off, mod-breaking updates are incredibly rare. Off the top of my head, there must have been 3-4 over the past years, and as mentioned, that's with monthly releases. In addition, whenever such updates occurred, the steps to update mods were clearly outlined and facilitated, with how-tos and regex being provided.
• As for modding, there's always been lulls and spikes on that front, but all the same, contributions are continuous, with new mods and code mods being worked on and released on the Discord server (and ideally on the wiki as well, but mod authors don't always do that and, well, you can't really force them to).
• And as for fixing or updating old mods, some authors don't do that simply because they've lost interest, which has nothing to do with the game being "dead". People's hobbies change with time, and they may discard projects they were previously invested in. That's normal. If you are interested in such or such mod being made playable again for the game's current version, you are welcome to check the

• And finally, and probably most importantly, MGD is incredibly modding-friendly, probably more so than most any other game out there. I hope that helps give some perspective. I know it's easy to get impatient when you have to wait for new content, but it's important to be able to take a step back and see projects for what they are, rather than default to doomposting.

And that's totally understandable! My point was that I would argue it is definitely not the case with MGD, what with content being released on a regular basis and being quite consistent across time (whether from an update point of view, a lore point of view, a fetish point of view, etc.).

We're all woefully familiar with games that get lost in the sauce, or which feel like they don't even have much of a direction to begin with. And similarly, we're familiar with cash grab games, which don't have much going for them except for some appealing assets, and which want to entice you into subbing to support development without then delivering tangible results.

But MGD is going strong and has been doing so for a long time now, and the dev has always been active and responsive, whether on Patreon, Discord, or here. I believe the only hiatus that the game has ever undergone was when the dev suffered from burnout after overdoing it on the Venefica content.

Heck, MGD is and has always been free, with support being completely voluntary, so if the game is actually a ploy to milk Patreon cows, it's quite the 4D chess one.

My understanding is that people are frustrated because the Capital isn't done yet. But its moving along, with movement infrastructure shaping up and a few scenes that change depending on the time of day variable. A lot of new content that gets added is for previous areas/enemies, and some people are the types of players that might not bother going back to view them and only want the new latest area. Personally I don't get why people would get mad at new scenes and CGs being added in to the earlier biomes because it helps flesh out the game and the game world. Anything added to Ceris or Venefica is a good update in my book, because I like them a lot.

You don't see how this statement sounds kind of silly? Of course you like more Ceris and Venefica being added if you like those characters. That's obvious. Anyone that likes those two would be overjoyed. But it should also be obvious that moving forward with the story is content for everyone, instead of content for only people who like a given character. I don't particularly care for Ceris so any update that just has more content for her is essentially not an update at all for me.

I only said those two as an example and as a personal thing about me. If you read patch notes, there have been scenes added to way more characters, both named characters and generic mob types (like Harpy getting a new CG recently). Also I could argue your point and say that if the new capital update for some reason only had imps in it then it wouldn't count as an update for me because I don't like them, right? but new content is still new content, no matter where it's placed.

I could see the argument in that like, people want to see new characters because they got bored of the others, I guess?
Or maybe people just want to collect more sigils, but the sigils are just mcguffins, so the actual content is the new characters that guard the new sigils, along with any associated lore. But new characters and lore can be added to other areas as well (like Vili being added to the Forest biome). A new update that gives you a sigil unlocks a new area that you can't even go to yet because it won't be in the game, and if people complain about that, then what happens? If for some reason the dev decided to just speedrun to an ending, I bet it would feel barebones and lame and people would bitch. I think all this fleshing out of prior areas, adding more scenes and more art, is important to the overall product. That's not to say that new areas and characters aren't important either, but making characters that aren't just "generic monstergirl enemy" is hard and takes time, the dev is working on new while also adding to the old. I think it's fine.

edit: also I know sigils also typically do things like expand Amber's shop and unlock more things to do in prior areas, but that only helps my point, its still new content in prior areas, like Sofia fight difficulty unlocks and stuff.

Obviously, if the content added doesn't match your preferences, then the update will have less for you to sink your teeth into, but it's still content that other people will (hopefully) enjoy nonetheless.

The game is still very much in development. The Capital is in the process of being developed, and will have a lot of content, but it's not the final location. Other major locations are to come.

Nonetheless, MGD has quite a lot of content even now, and any save you make will be compatible with future versions of the game, so if you're interested in the game, I would definitely encourage you to give it a shot if you haven't already.

I only used those two because you used them. You could replace them with any other character and the point would still stand because it's not about any specific character since the demerit is relative to the person, not the character.
Moving the story forward doesn't just include sex scenes, it also includes progression of a person's own character and the main story, and world building. This is content that anyone can enjoy and that is why priority should be given to it instead of prior areas.
As to your edit, that doesn't help your point because that new content is locked behind moving the story forward in the first place! It can't even exist without the story.

Yeah I already play it I was just curious. On one hand I really like this game and it's good there is still a lot more content to come. But on the other I'm not really sure if we will ever see a proper ending to this game if the capital isn't it. But it's all good.

I love BF games and this one absolutely appeals to me. The art is usually great, the writing is decent, and the game actually has real gameplay - the combat isn't mindless like in most other games. However, I’m giving it only 2 stars due to the lack of CGs - apparently, a new one is released only once every two months! For a developer earning $3,000 per month, this is just ridiculous.

I... I'm a bit at a loss for words. There are Japanese games that have fewer CG's and less content. Of all the legitimate criticisms you could level at the game and its developer, it's a lack of pictures that impacts your opinion that much? And here I thought I was toeing the line with talking down about Threshold's focus on side content.
