Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG Status

I'm aware that the lack of progress updates may have led some to fear that the project has been halted. I apologize for causing such concerns, but please be assured that the game is being actively developed.

Currently, I spend about a week each month working on creating new species, while the remaining three weeks are dedicated to the production of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG (MGERPG). The main reasons for the prolonged development time are my own perfectionist tendencies and the vast amount of dialogue text for the Monster Girls. While I have hired staff to help with map chips and music, the dialogue of the Monster Girls is the most crucial aspect of MGE. It captures the personality of each Monster Girl, and it's not something I can simply delegate to someone else. I sincerely apologize for the extended wait, but my desire to express my ideal vision of MGE in a game format leads me to want to spend as much time and effort as necessary. I kindly ask for your continued patience.

The reason for the lag in updates is that I didn't want to release any incomplete information that might spoil the fun of the game when the demo is made public. I understand the desire for updates and am contemplating the best way to share information. I will create a separate article specifically about Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG and inform everyone at a later date, so please wait a bit longer.

I am 99 percent positive he is given how obsessively protective of his mons he is. I mean, Kenkou is as protective of his universe as Chris Chan is of Sonichu.

As I understand it, he wants to create everything at once and release it at once, like a perfectionist. While his mercenaries draw backgrounds and make BGM music, Kross writes tons of text for dialogues between MC and monster girls. I'm more than sure that this is just crazy in terms of development and compositions... so, we'll have to wait a long time, I think.
In terms of game length, I think it will be something like MGQ Paradox, where he previously worked drawing a couple of monster girls.

I knew it he would do that, truly a japanese dev moment, imagine if its the lengh of MGQ Paradox? that would be insane, it would be the best game of its genre just behind MGQ..

Literally all japanese devs are like that, they do a demo(or not most of the case) and dont say anything until they complete the game or very little updates, and im having a hard time understanding what youre saying? im not talking about piracy.

And yes i know its frustrating to wait for the game and that the dev is not showing much...but im sure at 100% that he's working on it, its not like those milking devs that does updates every 8 months or more, if people wanna support him while he"s working on it, i mean cool for them, but i'll wait until the game is out to show support.

Yeah, it does suck. But as someone who REALLY loves his world and art, I can forgive him.

Excellent taste, even though I'd rather be molested than molest. I hope the game will live up to its potential. I can die happily if I get my elves, shirohebi and Ren Xiongmao

You probably joke about that but he unironically is very VERY perfectionist about passing his exact vision of MGE, the tendecy of japanese game devs to only release a single demo for their games instead milking updates through a patreon + the fact that this dude in particular is extremely protective of his work (sometimes to a obsessive degree), all makes this huge delay is nothing really surprising to me honestly

We exactly know that, but we hope it will be atleast long enough to include all monster girls from his encyclopedia wich is also crazy but not impossible, and to be honest a project as big and long as paradox will probably almost never happen again, itsss wayyy to much work and require a lot of people, money, time comsuming, ect.

And since we all know kenko has an obsession with perfectionism for his game he works alone for the most important parts, such as writing, arts, and others, its gonna take alot of time wich i understand, i would do the same tbh.

How many are you expecting? If I am being honest. I don't see the number being above 25. Specially with the demo showing that Kenko wants each of them to have unique reactions to things you do/people you talk to. Paradox did that with only 1 character and that was either Alice or Ilias for most of the game. It is just too much work to put reactions to everything for a bunch of different characters.

The only possible solution is a great saga of games with 10 companions at most per game, there are troublesome and location-exclusive MG so even introducing exceptions to the rule in their behavior it's impossible to include them all, create enough scenes to satisfy the user and a story to wrap it all in a single game.

The fans play a part too, in that they're really impatient, the only reason you should be super pissed as a person is if you're paying for the content, but I'd assume most people are getting stuff on this website for free, massive entitlement.

Meanwhile, I just do things while I wait for stuff to come out, and I don't let it consume my entire being like some people on this forum, who act like said game/s are the only game/s in existence.

I think you guys all make really good points.

I half-agree with the ones about patience and half-agree with the doomers.

KC is really passionate about monster girls as he sees himself as the guy who popularized the concept. He's also not entirely wrong about that! He popularized it around creatives who then went on to popularize it to normies.

So when he sees monster girls in most eroge just be used as creatures or enemies, like in Circle Teckua games or honestly MOST monster girl depictions in eroge he's sad and wants to change that. Cause the romance angle is big for him and he wants that to follow the monster girls too.

BUUUUUT

That also means the amount of work he has to do to fit his vision is genuinely massive. He doesn't want other artists to come and pollute his vision of the game so he wants to do it all on his own. I'm also of the opinion he doesn't really know how to express his sexuality through game design all that well so he's struggling on a fundamental level with that too.

The hurdle's genuinely too massive.

Unless he uses AI to "finish colorization" of his drawings or aid him in background composition or something there's genuinely no way I can see him accomplish what he wants.

You should all keep in mind he flip flops on why it's taking so long sometimes. Like the time he made a poll about doing profiles then got angry when his patrons voted game.

Also back when he did post game updates he made it pretty clear importing huge amounts of dialogue was stonewalling him because rpgmaker isn't really made for that.
