You said every patreon dev, which I am, but I found it amusing ;;;)

I hope that it is nice and that it is its own thing but you can have a look for yourself. The discord version is a little limited but free. There will a big free update in a couple days. I would very much like to hear your oppinion about it.

That is YOUR preference (which many don't share, me included).
There is no forumula for "best" monstergirl design.. It all depends on a million factors. Some might look nice less humanoid. Others do not.
The only kind of "best" is the one that answers the question "for whom?"

For example, there is no arachne design that you can do that will make it attractive to me, I simply don't like insect-based monstergirls.

With the amount of patreon game devs dipping on development while still shilling people for months or years with no progress made, it sure feels like everybody. When someone isn't doing that it's usually the exception to the rule, and even then those trustworthy people feel like they're on a timer until they end up doing well, what this dev and many many others have done. That's a lot of good games that had such potential getting chucked aside because of a dev's feelings or whims.

With that said, good luck with your project, hope it turns out better than this guy's. I've spared it a glance and I'm... not really that interested. I might play later for the sake of giving a proper review on the thread, but also don't count on that because I know my standards are disproportionately high for this market.

Ok? I never said my opinion was the objectively correct one anywhere in my post? The OG post asked for my opinion so I gave it, and if you think my opinion is wrong then you could give yours.

The games been dead since 2021 as thats when the last update for it came out. No one knows exactly why the dev quit working. They claimed that Patreon didnt like Ara and Faranne being sisters, and that theyd rather shut down the project than deal with Patreon and work on their own time without crowd funding. Fun fact - I subscribed to their Patreon to see the current development a few days before they came out with the news that theyre shutting down the project on Patreon :confused:.

Theres been no updates on the game since then besides the dev saying that theyd rather work on a SFW visual novel using the same characters than continue Monster Girl Island.

If I remember correctly he announced that he works on a followup project in unreal now. But I will believe it only when I play it myself.

Yeah. In general Hydra is a very talented artist, very realistic animations with nice atmosphere and details. There aren't many like that.



I'd like to see it too. Red said a lot of things..
We're all counting on you at this point. The Last of the Mohicans. :D

Hope I don't dissapoint, maybe there is a magical barrier after big success but right now it's nice in itself to make the game. Happy you enjoy it ;;; )

One version this time, but made in a different way so it should be softlock-safe (bugs in vanilla game still may softlock you). Everybody who can be is naked (except Aurelia, no point for 5 sec scene).

Problems:
  • Warped legs due to animation and clothing system. Fix it by buying new clothes (don't forget bunny picture in power plant chapter);
  • Black screen on Veera petrification scenes. It should be grey shader, not darkness. Built-in bug, happens randomly on any version;
  • Characters can get stuck in movement. Built-in bug, happens on any version. Push them around to unstuck.
0.44.3 is really buggy. While testing my mod in "speedrun" mode (click through everything and fuck everyone as fast as possible), scrips totally bugged out and my world got softlocked in endless night with many events available at the same time.

Two mod options for download:
  1. "MGI 0.44.3 Nude Mod v9.zip" is a small autopatcher made with

    , easy to download and install, BUT many AVs flag it as generic malware. So download it at your own risk. Archived with 7-Zip in a basic .zip file with password. Put it in game's folder and install.
  2. "MGI 0.44.3 Nude Mod v9_loose.exe" loose files for replacement packed with 7-Zip in a self-extracting archive. Bigger but 100% safe. Password protected too. Replace files in "MGI_Data" folder.
Don't forget to make backups.
