and before you tell me, i know team cherry started working on hollow knight before redamz started working on mgi, and i know team cherry is -well- a team while redamz is just stubborn.
and realistically, even if not 3d, hollow knight is a bigger and more complex game than a 3d hentai

It took him 3 years to admit that he abandoned MGI Prologue as a project. He only uploaded his announcements once or twice per year for the past 2 years or so and then in January he went on to post on his discord announcements after coming out of his dungeon to say the project was "canceled" and that he's been working on multiple games and shows a timeline without any actual proof that he's working on anything.

So much ambition from a developer, if he would have continuously worked on the game monthly instead of saying he "was" working on it for the last 2 years the game would have been done. Instead, he comes out of the blue and was like "yeah its canceled" and proceeds to upload screenshots of his makeshift plan on how he's planning to make the game into different ones in different engines. "New projects" which is funny because if he's long abandoned MGI to make new games, then why doesn't he provide any proof like a screenshot that he's making any new games at the moment? No one knows if he was actually working on MGI this entire time since it was speculated to be abandoned until it was confirmed by Red himself in January of this year. On the same announcement post, he said that MGI Prologue was taking too long during development and he scrapped it and cut his losses. On the screenshot it shows one game called called "Love; Again Memories", and the other is MGI Saga. He's said that he's making "good progress" on MGI Saga but that brings up the question...

Why did he wait until now to reveal this information?

Let's say hypothetically he did abandon the game WAY back then and that he's been working on the other projects till now, why hasn't he bothered to upload any proof of at least one of these "projects" he's making so that people don't believe he's been lying and is STILL lying about doing anything for that matter. If you are telling me he spent all this time to only just came back to announce he was making new projects leads to the following prediction:

He's spent all the patreon money by now, and has been lying through his ass during the entire time just enough to convince people on his discord who still follow him that development is still happening. Which is why he came back out of the blue to announce new projects now. The reality is he probably has been so lazy these past couple years (which explains his lack of announcements or participation in his own discord, probably playing genshin or some shit and probably not even working on these new "games" till now) that he only just recently started "working" on these new projects and hasn't actually been working on them for years like people believe.

I've longed for Red to pull his shit together, the franchise had so much potential with how good the game. But, I'm tired of waiting all these years only for him to conveniently come out of the blue and do this shit. If he actually picked up more developers for these "new projects" instead of doing everything alone like always then he might give people benefit of the doubt that he's actually cooking up at least ONE game to be finished. His laziness and work ethic is so shit that I highly doubt that will be the case. If he abandoned one game, what's to say that he won't do the same for other games? He's been blue balling his fans for years just to finally give a sliver of hope that the franchise isn't dead.

Though this is annoying, it wasn't so bad seeing as he didn't have anyone paying him to do nothing. It is frustrating and a bit annoying, but it's not the end of the world and it's okay really. I mean if he is working on what he says he is and he does put that out, that's pretty great. If not, then we can all just forget about it and move on. It's been so long, I already moved on excluding the occasional looking back to see if he had actually followed throw on anything.

It's just a shame that more titles like this aren't being made (not counting games from SpiderBro and Ashen, because I appreciate that at least those are still alive), but considering how many years and how many fans Monster Girls have, and how many projects have died, it's just a shame.
There are quite a few 2D titles, but you can count the active 3D ones on one hand.
Many of them died after just 1 or 2 months, and some didn't even get a single update xd apart from fixing 2 bugs, and it's like that in every genre, but the question is how many of these games actually survived and were made for at least half as long as MGI, which took like 10 years to create
