Tested it myself (revoked internet permissions first of course) no permissions required seems identical to the original port except without the need to bypass install restrictions due to android version
Don't think I really changed any permissions. Most of my changes were to z_fixes.rpy and scripts, mostly screens.rpy and language fixes as they popped up
That's odd... If you don't mind me asking, what model android device/android version are you trying it on? I've gotten it to work on my S22 running Android 14, but I do know that different devices use different OSs, so maybe that's doing something.

You have to change the name of the game to Monster Girl Quest. It worked for me.
If they instakilled you then you either didn't have Sylph or Gnome up or you attacked them while they had a counter skill active. Just watch their evaluation if you lose a fight, Ilias tells you if there's anything you need to keep in mind and they're entertaining.
I think he is talking about some gimmick enemies you are likely to lose to the first time you fight them because of some gimmick. For example the angel statue at the heavenly gate.
eventually got past the annoying bit I was in but so far this entire games balancing is driving me crazy and now I'm stuck at the volcano with gran and the fire spirit showing up on screen but nothing for me to select to survive
No just most enemies seem to be really unbalanced on normal mode and you have to play absolutely perfectly with the best luck otherwise another restart
