I did answer this question before, so I will summarize. Basically in the VN, humans are little sheep, they can't fight monsters at all, also it's hard to take a grip in what is monster girl society (someone must keep the monster lord castle working, and that require money and manpower). One example which I will fix here in this version 0.2 is Granberia attacking San Ilia Castle with ease. If she can do that, there is no way a war can exist, because if she destroy that place and kill the Pope, she would make the humans disorganize, destroy their economy and their way to fight back. If you destroy their way to fight back, nothing stop the monster girls to enslave all mankind putting an end to the semen shortage, pollution, etc. Each monster girl could have 2, 3 slaves, and there is no reason for Alice don't allow that to happen, it is in the best interest of the monster girls which she vowed to protect.

There are other minor things like Luka defeating a Queen alone when he barely began his quest, Alma Elma attacking a ship and no one lifting a finger to stop her (it's a ship in the middle of the sea, Did they think they could run away?).

There is many explanations missing in the VN as well which I will try to fulfill here.

I also am changing somethings which aren't plotholes, but that in my opinion it's better the way I'm making, as well some additions, quests etc.. I'd suggest you play to see what I mean, but I do suggest you wait a few more days before trying, since I will launch the version 0.2 soon, it's already being tested and will go until Sylph.
I understand what you're doing (fleshing out things in the story) and I'd have to play the game to find out more. However, the first underlined scenario doesn't really sound like a plot hole; more of a "if-then" scenario.

The second underlined section actually was pretty well explained in Chapter 1. I don't know how to tag spoilers, so I can't go into it.

A couple of legit early plot holes are 1) why did Ilias never show for Luka's baptism or 2) Why did Alice just happen to be carrying around Angel Halo, a sword Luka could wield to use against monsters. Both were fully explained by Part 3.

Well, I really got tired of debating this. I really suggest you just play the game once I launch the version 0.2 and take your conclusions. Plotholes is a subject that many people debate into every midia and there always those who don't accept something as a plothole and justify by this this and that. To me, a plothole is something that doesn't make sense, something that even considering the suspension of disbelief a fantasy requires, still can't be seen as happening, and in history, there is no war in which one side had all the military power and didn't win quickly. So situations of "If-then", as you put it, are plotholes to me when history writes the a rule "If-then" for such case. I also consider plothole when something unexplained happen and the player requires to think outside the game to understand, since if you think outside the game, it's a theory, an idea that may not even have passed the head of the author. So, such missing explanations will be included here.

PS. I played part 1, 2 and 3, so I did know those things in your last lines weren't plotholes, and are there exactly as the VN (except Alice having the Angel Halo for reasons I will explained far later when we get in Hellgondo, I don't want to give spoilers, and there are things I will change because I think it's better like that, but the key events will still be there and happen more or less the same way, since this is a remake, not a reboot).

Anyway, again I suggest you play the game once it's launched. Hope you like it.

Good job with the game so far, it was interesting but feels like it needs to be a bit more fleshed out in the first chapter, more side missions maybe? I didn't play the original but theres little content so far.

You know... While watching every cutscene, fighting the battles and looking for things, I took 8 hours to conclude Ilias Village. If I set this as a standard for other places as well, until the end of the second game you will have played for 48 hours, and there is one game left, which I still didn't decided how to divide it to adapt. I think it's too much really, but left it like that anyway.

Version 0.2 will be launched soon, so I do suggest you wait to it, since somethings changed and you will need to begin a new game, unfortunately. I tried to avoid it, but there is a script that don't update saves.

Not a big deal, replaying is going to be fun, also the game is relatively difficult, with having to literally rest after every mosnter girl encounter at the beginning of the game.

It also took me around 6-8 hours to complete the chapter and all. With that said, its kinda more interactive and fun than the original, as the original is mostly just a visual novel (Yes i've started playing it yesterday).

@unknown_developer I'm amazed at how salty this thread has previously been.
As someone who has played the original monster quest trillogy. I thought I'd give this a shot, and I have been pleasently surprised.

I've liked how you've translated this to be an RPG, and I actually think using RPGM is a good idea as it tends to be a pretty solid engine, and out of the box has keyboard and gamepad controls but it does have some drawbacks (like window size). I like your use of assets, and the houses you've made, as monster quest girl is also a highly stylized visual novel it makes the usage of assets and how you put them together in a rpg sense pretty darn important.

Things I'd like to see:
  • Ability to turn h/scenes off (and on) (like in the original game). Maybe through a 0 gold item you can buy or something.
  • Some way to have quests marked on the map permanently, maybe through having a different map per quest (and a slot in storage for the maps).
  • More xp and gold on winning a battle.

Thanks for playing. about what you want to see:

1, I sincerely never thought about that, or why someone would want to remove the H of the game, you can skip the text with the running key, and people who like me don't like vore have ther light version. I don't really see why not make the scenes optional, So if you really want it, I may take a look, it would be quite easy, really.

2 - That unfortunately, because how I did the map system, is gonna be hard. Having different maps per quest would increase the size of the game and not really benefit it too much. I could however make commom events to repeat the animation showing the location of the quest, but that's something that would take some time, and I still would need a way to make it possible for the player access such events, and it can't be throught the Journal screen, since it's a pre-made script.

3 - Both are intended to be rare. Gold you get from making quests not battle, from battle you get ingredients to make items. about xp, you don't need to grind in this game, that's one of the intentions since day one. you should finish Ilias Island about lv 10, you can do it no problem if you use the items well enough.

And by the way, I changed the encounter system, now you won't have ramdom encounter anymore, you will see the sprites of the enemies, who will hunt you if you get near. I tested the game and without grinding I finished the game with one or two levels more than i was supposed to be.

Thanks for playing, the next version will be launched soon, hope you like it.

Sorry to stay so long without updates, people are taking to long to test it, but the good news is that it won't take long to launch the version 0.2 of the game. I will do a last test week and if everything is right I will launch it.

By the way, the scenes that were missing from Ilias Island are now in place, so many monster girls will have two scenes instead of one, and some scenes were reviewed.

By the way, for those who played Paradox, and so, saw what I'm about to show, tell which one do you preffer.

#2; also, by a last test week, do you mean we can hope to see the next version by Saturday or by Monday?
Yes. It will still lack some secondary scenes for some monster girls on Sentora, but the scenes present on the VN will be there. Also, I will have to beg your pardon for the thousands of typos and mispellings present on the game, I friend offered to fix them, but it will take too long and so I believe you will prefer the game now with the bad english than waiting more months for a better english.

Finally. After more than one year, I'm proud to announce that Version 0.2 is finally ready. Here is the link:

I must say, it took far more than expected. For now, I will begin to work on the Maps of the next part Sabasa. Once Chiron finishes proofreading the game (it could take a long time, too many words, and no search function on RPG Maker), I'll try to improve whatever I can, make maps prettier, tweak a little with item distribution to make them more convenient, tweak the dificulty, things like that. I hope you enjoy it. Here is the changelog, many things changed, so I suggest you read it.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I hope you like it, and that my changes to it were for the best.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm excited to play 2.0!

I'd like this because I enjoy the story of monster quest girl, and would like to be able to play it without H scenes but I imagine I'm very much a minority (probably the only person who would want such a feature). If it is not any hassle at all, please do put this feature in, otherwise I do completely understand.

I had a feeling this would be the case, just thought I would put the feedback/request because I had a moment of, "what would I do if I forgot what I was upto", but totally get it.

Very good to know, thanks, that will make traveling a lot easier.

Abou the map, the Journal have the name of the locations, what if I edit the map image to have the name of the locations below their sprite? Would that help?

Just passing by to say thanks, I'm really enjoying the new demo. Love the little new additions to the story and the new light version's scenes and being able to actually play and move around a bit makes the experience more dynamic imo, or maybe I'm just a sucker for JRPGs. Anyway, I don't post much here, more of a lurker, but decided to post anyway just to show my support. Will definitely follow this project! Good work!

Heh, imagine if Luka was actually hitting his enemies? Isn't that funny? Also magine being lvl 10/15 and STILL missing to some enemies. Unknown went full on that realism of Luka's swordsman skills huh? :)
