Its a damn shame this was never finished. The whole "i was too busy" excuse is fucking bullshit when I can graduate from college in the time you spent procrastinating. Spending an hour or two on the weekends is not a huge ask for a personal project like this.
I wouldn't say that. This is a FREE passion project that is being worked on in their free time. I am just glad this is a thing coming into existence.

Well, finally an update (no wonder the game now has the abandoned tag). Vacation is here, and I finished all the maps from the main quests, which for me is the worst part of development.

I decided that it's best an unpolished finished game than a polished, forever WIP game, so in the next version, at least for now, you won't see the same level of detail (no NPCs walking around, smaller/simpler maps, less detail in general). Once the game is finished I may add a little polish, but for now, that's it. Depending on my inspiration, some new scenes may also be placeholders

I already added the new portrait and facesheet of Luka, and the new auto-text feature (which isn't as good as I wanted, but it is functional) all the script for the main story was already finished and revised.

What's left before the launching of 0.4?
  1. Adding the story events (quite easy, really, the part I like the most aside from writing/editing rogue's translation)
  2. adding battles (creating new animations is hard, but after so many already created, I probably just use them, or a variation of them to easy up process)
  3. Adding new items (easy since I'm keeping things consistent)
  4. Balancing the battles (I'll possibly leave this on the easier side, to avoid having to test too much, and later I review the difficulty, also, considering some people complained, I'll reduce the number of enemies to 2 per kind per floor, instead of 3)
  5. Adding NPCs (unfortunately, I'll simplify this one, this is another thing I hate to do because it takes too much time)
  6. Adding side quests
  7. Adding the entries Alice's Monsterpedia (the in game Monsterpedia is something that will stay broken until the game is finished, sometimes, I think it's best to remove it entirely to remove a script and add its information to Alice's one, though that one can't be accessed anytime. I could, yes, create an item to allow you call the event, but I always thought of this as intrusive in other games)
  8. Writing the new scenes/edit the existing ones if needed (I do like to do it, but takes time, inspiration, sorry in advance if some of them are placeholders. There will be a few reward scenes, and some girls from Paradox, specially at Plansect (sorry, but I hated most of those designs, so most of them are out), and I decided to follow the suggestions and just unlock the h-scene of the mob enemies when you defeat them, it's a fact that having to lose to every enemy for completion is a bad design, and some enemies will be missable (and some should already be missable, but I left them even after the quests ended exactly to avoid having missable content))
  9. Adding new/existing scenes.
  10. Test the game (which takes a lot of time).
  11. Bonus: adding BGS moans to all scenes (I don't remember if I told you before but I after taking a better look at the files of Violated Hero series, I manage to get the BGS moan files, intend to add to all scenes if possible. I'll have of course to pair fitting voices to monster girls, which can take some time, so I'm not sure if I'll add it before the launch)
  12. Launching version 0.4 finally (considering how long it was since version 0.3, I'll include a save file before the last battle of version 0.3 with everything unlocked so you guys don't have to replay it all over again if you don't want).

On the course of my vacation I hope to get at least to adding Alice's monsterpedia entries. God's willing, I hope I can finish the rest until the end of march, but that will depend on how much I'll be busy with my second job, so I won't make any promises.

On a side note, I saw that Paradox part 3 was launched, though I'm not sure on the state of the translation, do you guys know how it is? I couldn't understand the information in the tread https://f95zone.to/threads/monster-girl-quest-paradox-part-3-v3-01-torotoro-resistance.1766/ It may be outdated. I hope the translation come soon, though I'm learning Japanese as part of my second job (translator), but I'm just reaching intermediate level, it will take time for me to fully play a Japanese game with no furigana (as 18+ hgames are). I checked DLsite and they seem to have removed the part thing and are just selling Paradox as a single game, so I guess this is the last part. I don't intend to play it yet, I want to finish this version first, but I intend to play it eventually (hopefully, Torotoro didn't mess it up as he did with Part 3 of the VN (I know lots of people disagree with me here, but this remake exists because part 3 pissed me off)).

Thank you for your patience. Sorry for the delay. See you later.

Hey man, at least you're talking to us about it and working. Some devs just disappear into the alien mothership and are never heard from again.

I am just glad to see you are back and continuing to your work on this labor of love. I would have preferred more polish but I understand the necessity to scale things back as you just one person. What was the thing about part 3 of the VN the fans disliked? I thought it came out of left field but I figured that was what ToroToro Resistance was going for?

Hey man, at least you're talking to us about it and working. Some devs just disappear into the alien mothership and are never heard from again.
This is sadly so often the case

love the new direction, perfect is the enemy of good enough
Very well said.

Well, I know it seems I'm the minority here, but I hated almost all the execution of part 3. Bear in mind that to me MGQ, until then, had a good story telling even if it had some plot holes here and there and an inept humanity, but in part 3 Torotoro threw that good writing in the toilet. The plot holes simply come out on your face in part 3. Untouchable angels? Even to the monster girls? And a simultaneous attack everywhere? Luka literally become a Deus Ex Machina, appearing basically everywhere at the same time, because there is no way for a single person to stop that attack. I was starting to think Galda is a bad name for that bird, we should call it Delorean. And that was not the only thing I had a problem with in part 3, just the most egregious one.

But as I said, I'm the minority, scrutinizing too much a h-game (and I got tired of arguing with so many fanboys and their made up theories about it, so I'll stop here).

EDIT. A similar thing happened to me with the "Trails of" series, I hated Cold Steel with all my soul, despite considering the previous games some of the best games of all time (or perhaps it's because of it, if it was a new IP, I'd probably just drop it and forget its existence). Trails from Zero to Azure (one game divided in two) is, to me, the best RPG of all time, by far.

<Phew> And here I thought I was the only one... I've only played MGQ about a half-dozen times, mostly because the third act is so bizarro-world.

I agree about the Deus Ex Machina; it's just so common in RPGs. I don't know why people/fanboys get mad when others criticize it. lol
As someone who played Trails, people hype Cold Steel a lot because of Part 3 (yeah, I know there are a lot of good things like the OST in Part 3 and some new decent characters), but for me, both Part 3 and Part 4 really messed up the whole Cold Steel arc, the 'It's all Curse's fault' storyline was awful, maybe that's why I like the 'bad end' of the game.
It's funny how Cold Steel started weak, but the build-up until Part 2 actually had good potential for the third and fourth games.
What a waste of IP.
Good luck with the project and have a great vacation.

Oh that, yeah I remember thinking WTF when it came to Luka fighting off a conflict spanning the entire world with just a sword. And the untouchable angels didn't make sense either since the 6 Ancestors clearly wern't affected by that. Now that's not to say it COULDN'T have worked just that it needed to be explained sooner. For example, Best Goddess had many years since they were sealed so it would have made since she (Or Promestein) developed for them to alter their tangibility.

The parts that made the least since to me (Aside from Luka soloing the whole invasion) was Tommamo being a CD ROM and the Anti-Heavenly Knights being defeated by "Just fighting for real". I can't think of a way for Tammo CD-ROM to make sense but the Heavenly Knight fights COULD have made sense if they used skills learned from Luka to overcome them through grit and cunning.

I have never played any of the "Trails of" games so I will just have to take your word for that. The only "Coldsteel" I have heard of was the edgy hedgehog.

<Phew> And here I thought I was the only one... I've only played MGQ about a half-dozen times, mostly because the third act is so bizarro-world.
You must love Luka's quest as much as Ilias does.

Small update. All introductory events (the initial events for each main quest plus all the Gran Noah introduction in general) from Gran Noah are implemented, which took a lot more time than I thought.
Awesome! This is music to our ears (y)

Small update. All events from Papi's mother quest are in place. I must say I really liked how it ended up.

I began inserting the events for the Colosseum quest, I believe tomorrow I should be able to finish it. I think I stated this before, but just to remind you, after a long consideration, I decided there won't any rape scenes at the Colosseum. It doesn't really fit the atmosphere I'm trying to portray in Gran Noah. Scenes that should be there will probably be transferred to somewhere else, like a side quest (though if I'm not mistaken, only Dullahan and Alma Elma had CG scenes, Cerberus had a scene, but not a CG, so by the standards I set, her scene is gone, though since there won't be a rape scene in Colosseum, her fight will still be there).
Also, Alma Elma's fight isn't going to serve as a tutorial for Sylph's upgrade, Sylph is going to have a side quest to unlock the upgrade (same goes for all spirits).

Now, I'd like to ask you guys one thing. What do you guys think of the Violated Hero series? Recently, I discovered that they launched a sixth game (I discovered recently, but the game is from 2016, I believe), and I'm still asking myself how were they able to get this far?

I believe I may have mentioned this before, but I played Violated Hero 1 a little after finishing MGQ part 2 (while I was waiting for part 3), I thought at first it was a better MGQ since it had better graphics and a functioning fighting system with mob enemies, but soon I changed my mind. Not only it had far fewer scenes than MGQ, as the history was basically nonexistent, the h-scenes writing was even worse than MGQ (I do not blame Dargoth, who I believe did the translation, here), despite having technical superiority, some CGs looked a little strange, specially the expressions of some girls. MGQ isn't strange to bad CGs or unpopular themes, but since it had so much more CGs sets, the ones that were bad didn't leave an impression. After I beat the game, I just reached the conclusion that graphics aren't everything.

A few years later, I played the second, and while it improved over the first game, the history still quite basic, they began imitating MGQ, with the 4 Heavenly Kings (which to be fair was something MGQ took from other RPGs), and some character designs, like the final boss having the same skin tone of Alice. The writing of the scenes improved, but some CGs still didn't leave me a good impression.

I didn't play the other games, but I heard that only VH3 got a translation, so I believe the others were so bad, that nobody had the patience to even make an AI translation. I heard they translated the scenes, though.

I'm using the assets from it because I sincerely think it was wasted potential. They put too much money on the CG artists and forgot the writer to tie it all together in an epic tale (which JRPGs are supposed to be). I took a look at the CG from VH6, and they are, in general, a lot worse than the ones from VH5, no wonder they seem to have abandoned the idea.

No ravishment scenes in the Colosseum?! That was my favorite part in terms of the h scenarios  I mean, I am am sure you have some good ideas to rework the story but taking away the Colosseum ravishment is a big gamble.

I haven't played Violated Hero so I can't say anything other then it's been on my to-play list for a while and it looks like a lot of lighthearted fun to play.

Yeah, sorry, but for the atmosphere I'm trying to portray in Gran Noah, that simply doesn't fit. You're gonna see it when you read it. Gran Noah is an important city for the story as it is the prototype of what Luka wants, and Torotoro failed in portraying it as anything minimally interesting, since it should be the conflict of Luka's dream crashing with cold hard reality. The difference in number of males and females would undoubtfully spark conflict, with so few men to go around, there is no way the women would accept them getting raped in such a fashion, much less in an event sponsored by the royal crown, it's not believable (the ending of the h-scenes there, also isn't believable).

I'll possibly make an underground Colosseum after you get to the Monster Lord's Castle in which the rape rule happens but not the game over, I'm leaving it to only then because that will open the range of scenes we can have there. In fact, since I'm planning to take things slow after that (no simultaneous attack in all places of the world), I'm thinking in adding many sidequests and reward scenes to fill in between the Eden's attacks. For example, another idea I had is to explore Succubus Village more and have a chain of sidequests there that unlock reward scenes with succubus and witch, which have a lot of good scenes and I don't want to make you lose 5 times to each to unlock them.

By the way, I finished adding the events for Colosseum and for Yamatai.
