That's weird. Was looking at scene recollection to see if the patcher translated properly. Scenes are translated but the scene names aren't. I don't think I did anything wrong so I am going to back burner this till more translation updates.

Also is it normal for the mapinfos to be skipped in this version of the game? Because the patcher apparently skipped it.

my first suggestion is to follow the read me.txt file. Things like changing the folder to non Japanese text is important. Second make sure the files you need to are present like the data folder.

I used the version I found on pixeldrain who come pre patched with the part2+ demo menu and story english traduction

You probably did what I did before. I overwritten with the older version and it broke the translation.
Now I am uploading the mediafire version that I patched Arzor X translation (seems that the one who made on mediafire already done that but I havent launched the game before patching so I cant say about it)

i also tried it on a fresh install but same result not sure what im doing wrong so now im dowloading the mediafire version in hope that it already translated

Ho I downloaded your file and it's the basic 3.01 but with the patch translating the game until the demo and the menu. Yeah sorry to say you lost your time doing it. But at least it's on mega and pixeldrain

edit ; seems the link in mediafire is without the patch. Strange. Guess pixeldrain is the better one

edit : the mega link as the full game + translation + mtool + uncensor mod


and my version (3.01) with the same but with a lot of save (save 16 is just before the big choice and the end of the demo) a big fat team+mtool inside with the translation file (inside the translation folder in the game folder)+mod to auto recruit monster at the end of fight + mod to have more than 99 of the same item (the mods can be found inside the patch folder of your game folder. Just delete them if you dont want them)

Can I disable the mod in the gofile one or do I need to download the pixeldrain one?

The mod are in the patch folder. Just delete the recruit.rb and the increase item limite if you don't want to auto recruit or have more than 99 of the same item (i forget I add this mod)

where did you find your 3.01 before trying to patch it ? Because for me you are probably trying to patch a game already patched if you used the pixeldrain version

I did nothing. I just dropped the translated files into their proper place and ran the patcher. There is a mapinfos.rvdata2 file in the data folder so its not like it isn't present. Also another oddity I found is apparently vanilla's name isn't translated in the team select but is translated when you talk to her. And I guess its just the vanilla name since she is properly alucart in the vampire bar.
