are you sure that solution ? Because lot of people are saying that the multi race may be the problem because the game think they are of another race than the one asked.

I Have trying fairy, human and lamia and it's work, dont know about other races
The newest plugin is the issue, seriously just install plugin 1.20.70 and you will be able to boot the game.
Sorry for what I was not being clear, the rpgm plugin 1.20.70 is now make the app clashes when tried to run the game0

My Joiplay version is 1.20.550 and rpgm plugin version is currently 1.20.70 but this game when run with this setup or latest plugin will be forced close while other games seem to run smoothly even with the newest plugin. The first post I made was run with the combo from this site

take 2 to 3 years to Part 3 be fully Completed translated because as this game is big as fuck it will take alot of time to Arzorx and the rest of the translating team do their work on it

It's not going to take that long. I'd say a year at max, but I've been out of the loop recently. Who knows if their team has drastically changed or shrunk or had rl issues.

I'm having a difficult time finding the kitsunes in yamatai, I saw a guide say they were in a tea shop. I'm not sure if I cant find the tea shop or if they just aren't there yet. Do I have to progress a certain point past the sabasa quest?

At this point i think the game itself that's bugged rather than joiplay, if you have raw japanese version than try load that in joiplay
