What is the progress of the Arzor translation? On the blog it says that all story related things should be translated along with Amira's dialogs and Job/Race descriptions but the Angelic Dominion Sabasa is untranslated along with a few jobs/races, did something go wrong when I patched it or am I reading the wrong page?

I THINK that you read an older status, either before the demo or before the 3rd part launch. Looking at their blog's status page, (almost) everything up to the MGQP3's demo is translated, anything beyond that is not translated.

I read the install/patching instructions which said it is for 3.04. Skimming through the thread here I see mentions of a bob translation, is it coherent or is it a standard machine translation?

Honestly, I don't know that much about Arzor-X's translation.

About Bob's translation: From what I read here and there, it is an edited MTL translation which (my guess, I didn't play it yet and I don't know much about Arzor-X translation) is the best current translation. But it is better to wait people who actually played/tested both of them.

They meant to say that the content from part 1-2 are merged with part 3 so yeah you can play until the big choice of faction with the human english of these part but after that you need a mtl translation.
I think they are working on the Alice route at the moment so you can try playing this one but the translation is not even finished for this one and it's not even 1/3 of the content of part 3 (more like 1/4 of the content)

So yeah, most people have played and finished the game with some mtl tool like mtool or chatgpt translation with some human correction for the worst thing like gender miss for Luka called a She.
The bob translation is the better one because the guy put a lot of work on it with the help of some people on discord so it's pretty good and easy to use (just use the game exe and play)
The mtool one that most people, myself included, used at the beginning is the worst one but mtool is mostly a powerfull cheat engine that let you cruise on the content.
Before 3.02 the chaos route was pretty much impossible to play without 20-30h of grinding and optimal team, with random fight ending in 5- 10 turns and mimic being a game over most of the time.
Now the game give you the option to get a key item to give the monster 1 hp/atk/def/agility so you can have a good experience during the chaos route.

So at the end of the day you can play an ok version with bob translation or wait 1 year for the human translation to finish the translation and it's not even sure you can get one with this time.
Your choice.

Thanks for the clarification, I have seen many machine translations before and I just wanted to make sure the bob one didn't give me a stroke trying to read it.

If you're still in Part 2 content, it's just a difference between which recruit you get afterwards (and obviously a bit of a story change).

Combat text from part 1-2 are numerous and low priority for the merge but I think they merged them in the most recent arzor translation.

If you really want to play from the beginning you should probably grab a version 2.41 of the game in order to get the full human english translation experience and transfert your save folder inside a game part 3 folder before the big choice.

No idea what was the point of gift affection viewer but it's probably obsolete because deleting it change nothing.

The vanilla recruit rate is a mechanic where you need to talk to every monster during combat (so losing action to do that) with someone in your team who have access to the talk skills to increase their affinity, and at the end of the fight if you have enough affinity you could have them ask you to join. The % depend on the level of affinity and this level is the same if you fight the same monster later (so you could miss the recruitment the first time but start at 80% the next fight and needing only +20% to be full)

Hello. Is there anyone experienced with Joiplay? My friend has this issue which the game keeps crashing at certain places. I did not have that issue even though we did everything exactly the same. We play in v2.41 (since v3.01 did not open for either of us). Is there any other version that may work? I appreciate any help.

It sure doesn't look like it's 80% at 80% affinity coz I had to beat slug girl like 5 time whilst having 100% affinity before one joined me, but it's less weird than everyone running to join me, the stranger they never met (I've been unknowingly using that mod before I learned about this mechanic)

Another thing is the inventory size mod - what's the vanilla size? Do you find it necessary to use mod for 999 slots? Maybe there's an in-game way to increase inventory kind of like there's ways to increase recruitment chances?
Also can I benefit from putting the mod back in on the existing save if I change my mind about deleting it or is it require new game start?

Yeah the recruiting thing was always strange. It's true that 100 affinity is not 100%, but it's the max and after that it depends on some luck and ability/item you equip to increase the chances.
This game is grindy enough for me to not try to fish for the right monster, spend 4-5 turn talking to it before the fight end and losing the toss for the recruiting thing before needing to find another copy of this monster and try again.
Just do yourself a favor and skip this mechanic.

The vanilla size for item is 99. It's ok for normal experience, but the 999 is easy to put in the game with no hard modification.
The size mod can be deleted, but if you have more than 99, the next time you get one more of the item the stack is going to get back to 99.

I'm facing constant crashes in black mansion on ilias route with 3.04 bobmtl, are there any workarounds?
