We have a good one in the making here. Loved the update, hope the dev keeps up the great work.

Had some doubts regarding the game's future seeing how much time it passed after the first release and no update was in sight, but I'm sure glad I was wrong about it and sincerely hope the release schedule is gonna improve with time as the dev gets more exposure and can afford better hardware.

This game reminds me of 1thousand's CS, story's very promising, most characters are likable, women are drop-dead gorgeous, the MC isn't a spineless dork, and the funny banter between the characters to lighten the mood is a much appreciated sweet bonus on top of all of them. Sex scenes, on the other hand, could be better, longer and a bit more 'detailed'.

Any romance fan who didn't already check out Moonlight should do it asap and see if they like it too. Playtime is well worth the time it takes to finish it.

We never seen this happening in traditional romance or NTR porn games, right ?? Only (rare) difference this time is, the MC does look like the kinda guy you'd believe most of those attractive women would realistically be interested in, even if it's just to ride his dick or for the thrill of fucking a guy looking like a thug doing 'errands' for local gangs.

To keep him humble, his boi is there to remind the MC the funny difference between a handsome guy flirting with an attractive woman and an average-looking one being considered a creep trying to do the same thing, a role that seems to be specifically made for 'good' guys like Jack lol.

Disclaimer: I only played the 'game' until halfway of the 2nd episode, I don't know if things will get better later.

There are positive points (setup and worldbuilding comes to mind), but are those enough to save the 'game'? I'm ambivalent on that.

So far, the 'game' is mostly a kinetic novel, a railroaded experience, since the choices are unrelated to the main plots, and this can be a major drawback to the experience; and puts more strain on the story.

I don't want to be a dick and start nitpicking every flaw (perceived/subjective or objective), the dev clearly has worked a lot on this 'experience', so I will only advice the dev to put more work on character motivations, timing and making sure the game mechanics work with the story, and not against the plot or given characterizations.

I'm just a bit disappointed, because the story had the potential to be a great one.

Yeah, I'm on the same boat. Feels like it has some good components but it's not fully fleshed out. The sci-fi stuff always appeals to a wide fan base so I think that's inflating the excitement, at the risk of making the dev overlook some of the shortcomings.

It's hardly bad, but it's not a 5/5, stop-what-you're-doing-and-play-this either.

Giving something 5 stars and saying "it will be the best game ever" is also not how reviews are supposed to work.

For what it's worth, I do like the sci-fi in this particular instance. Sure, it's been done before, but the Vanilla Sky vibes are always intriguing and keep us hooked.

I would dial down the banter with Jack. It's fun but it's a little too much. And the lewd scenes seem to go from zero to infinity speed in the space of two renders. Some more build-up would heighten the pay off.

Played the update. Highlights:
1) A nice shout-out to Formula Zero.
2) Some nice humour over the whole "every girl wants the MC" . Also, that 3rd place meme!
3) Justice for Tilly! She should be put into the phone as a SG!
Overall, Moonlight is really growing into its own with this update. Cracked my Top-20. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I entirely agree with this. It's clear that the writing mistakes are due to inexperience and maybe a lack of preparation, but the core of the game and story is sound. So I'm hopeful it'll improve.
The way we're spoon-fed information about the MC's relationship with Max is a prime example of this. At the very start we're told that Max is important because it's a pre-existing relationship, but we're kept in limbo about the status of this relationship three years later. When Jack tells the MC to visit Max, he could've just said, "Dude, we've been broken up for over a year. Leave it!", and we would've immediately understood.

It's December and I honestly don't know where this year has gone. I guess time goes extra fast when you are working on today's releases. Thanks to everyone who has been here throughout the year and to those of you who have just joined. It has been a lot of fun bringing this game to life in 2025.

As the year draws to an end, I am busy getting pumped for the next release. I will not be doing much of a devlog this week since I have mainly been writing. In that regard, things are going really well, but this time around, I want to get as much of this episode written as possible before getting started on renders.

One interesting thing I did this weekend was place an order for a 5090. I will be using that in the render rig going forward. I have already upgraded the PSU in the pose rig and moved the 4090 over to that machine. The render rig has had a PSU upgrade as well and is just waiting for the 5090 to arrive now.

This will mean I will have an extra 8 GB of VRAM to work with on the pose rig. Last episode, I was trying every trick possible to bring my scenes to life, and having that extra headroom will be very welcome.
