These cases always fascinate me as a beginner dev. Once a dev starts making some serious money, they will shrink and divide the updates, prolong the gaps or just branch and branch the story.

Very few games hold on to the original energy and intent of the developer. I been on this site for a few years and seen so many potential masterpieces lose their magic.

Is it money? Time? Lost of interest? Family?

To devs' defense, its really hard to be consistent while making a game on your own. Story, dialogue, renders, critics, yeahhh, It ain't eeasyyyy.

Still, so much time, and now this update, it feels sad.

I agree, it is tough to do. While Moonripple is amongst the top of the newbreed AI CG NTS/NTS games, it still likely does not make enough money to be a full time job in and of itself. Could be wrong but if you have to hire animators (Which all of the top 3 do currently) such eats into revenue.

I think it starts from the start. Not just being upfront on what you game is and the kink your pushing. Trying to keep your options open in this particular space may be easier for the start, but eventually you have to pay up for that. Best to know who is on board with your original intent and keep that intent narrowed in.

I also think that there are business decisions made based off of polling which has flaws. Typically, just as in life, certain groups are more prone to respond to polling unless you make it a living to got out and get the answers. That leads to skewed results. VNs make this worse by typically only asking already existing supporters very early in the game life, when their focus is on growth rather than retention. There is the assumption that lovers of 'hard NTR' will not play other games or vice versa that those which prefer NTS will not touch a hard NTR title. Which is not always true because of the below point that. Basically just because I have a favorite does not mean I will not consume and support other things. I just need to know what I am getting into from the start.

I also think that these games are finding a hurdle that vanilla did not have to deal with. NTR/NTS is broad as fuck. You have so many pathways and just because someone likes NTR/NTS does not mean the like all forms of it. We know now that most do not like all forms and have specific wants. So some games have seemingly expanded their "menu" and are now growing 'wider' as a result. Which leads to everything being 'reduced' with shorter content or no content is a specific update. A prime example is a game expanding the number of POVs it has to accommodate the above. This increases render counts as characters split from each other and so some things have to be shortened or removed entirely per update.

lmao no... an ultra generic plot is high-school/college. that's like 90% of the games on here. While the dev isn't Tolkien here, the writing is better than most, for a game about fucking.
it is still generic.. and being better written than most porn doesnt mean much...

The fact thatthe otherupdates he wrote thesexy bits better than most porn gaes, does. Not the "serious" subplot...

One thing I really liked was the reduction in the game's image size, especially for Android, since the game is now very well optimized. I play on a mid-range phone with 4GB of RAM and Android 12, and it struggles to run demanding games. I know there are much more modern phones than that, but playing this type of game on Android is a real challenge, especially when the phone is more modern and has Android above 13. I know many players who have this difficulty with the system, and fortunately I don't, because I think Android 12 can still run this type of game without problems. Anyway, I really liked this change the game has made; it's much more accessible.

Lmao so we gotta downgrade the game because Rake Tyler here wants to play on his bootleg android. There should be two versions of the game, not just a low quality one to be "accessible". We want to see dev's work in all it's glory, 4k if possible.

I can't imagine that in 2026, there are still devices that can't play 1440p, and developers even lower the resolution for backward compatibility? If possible, I want 4K resolution
Yup, same shit happened with Life in Windvale, it had gorgeous art but now blurry as shit due to low resolution for "lower game size" smh

Oh? So f95 users....who can't "afford" to pay for their games, as cheap as they are, can ALL apparently afford the latest and greatest high-spec equipment, all within the last year, just to play VN's?
I think you should have stopped at "I can't imagine".......
