cheating is done to someone else by you, netorare is someone doing it to you. they're opposites. So what is the difference from NTR and Cheating? Is there one?
...No?cheating is done to someone else by you, netorare is someone doing it to you. they're opposites.
I agree here. Lifeless animations is definitely an issue. I feel this is because developers all want to use Daz and the same Daz stuff. However, Daz is the worst when it comes to animations. Sure some folks can create something decent out of Daz, but the majority of game devs here are either too lazy or too ignorant to do so.I dislike bad animations more than no animations. And when I say bad, I don't just mean generic, I mean animations where despite the forced camera angle you can tell both character models aren't actually animating and are being stiffly moved together like action figures.
The biggest thing that bugs me with RPGM is having no control over movies except maybe a skip button that skips the whole thing. Especially when it's a version that can't even have dialogue during animations.
Maybe more people would use TK17 if it wasn't so user unfriendly...What furthers this issue is people who complain when the dev uses an engine (Not as good as Daz for stills) but better for animations. Things like TK17, Honey Select, etc...
Touche, but nothing is impossible. The issue is people want turnkey and simple. This is why you have the complaint of the seemingly same Daz model or models being use in every game. I feel the going dev mindset is what is the fastest way I can spin up some renders, make a game and then start ranking in Patreon dollars before people figure out you have no intentions on really finishing shit.Maybe more people would use TK17 if it wasn't so user unfriendly...
Strongly agreed. Text, background information, and dialogue are all important for a good story. But it has to be balanced, and it especially needs to be set up in a conversational way and not just a monologe dump by one character who's going on and on forever. And its hugely beneficial if the dialogue is balanced with the visuals changing as it goes. Staring at the same picture for 20 pages of text gets really tiring, no matter how good it might be written.Let me paint you a picture:
You are playing a new game and it's been quite fun so far. Suddenly they drop a hint: there will be a scene with the character you are looking forward. A really good one. With the perfect mix of things you are looking for. Just around the corner...
Or rather just around 53014 corners because as you find out even in renpy you have to hold down "skip text" for 4 hours straight to get to that scene. And god help you if the game is in RPGM, because you could finish whole series of '90s RPGs faster than you'll get to what you wanted.
Teasing can be important and good setups are criminally undervalued in porn games, but when the scope gets so big that you start worrying about finding what you were looking for in the current content or you might have to wait months for future releases, it can completely kill games for me at least.
