They can't reminisce or re-tell their story? Perhaps using it to put others newly-committed at ease?

We basically started after a "happily ever after". So this is like a sequel to an unreleased prequel. Which may or may not see the light of the day. We'll probably just get a few flashbacks. Because I believe there is a dramatic story behind their departure. See further back in the thread.

While like this one it's listed as female protag (which really should have been your first indication the answer to your query wasn't going to be favourable), the male LI Dylan is often considered a "2nd MC". Especially since he's about to get almost as much content as the actual MC

My guess is daddy dearest discovered the incestuous relationship between Michelle and Amelia and went berserk. And threatened to expose their incest which is probably not condoned outside New Amsterdam.
What do you mean mischief? Tara surely must have only pure thoughts and only wishes to fulfill Michelle's wish of giving her daughter a wedding cake and a baby. That's what demons do, right?
"Mischief" and "shenanigans" are the kind of words I reserve for whatever interesting events the dev has in the future.
