Well, there's always modded skyrim with Devious Devices and clothing mods but it's a hassle to set up with version dependencies and whatnot. It's a nightmare.

don't exaggerate, its pretty simple these days and most mods are now stable and mature releases. and the forum LoverLab provides all the support you need

I'm going to say it's somewhere in between. It really depends on which/how many mods you want to install and the effort you're willing to put in.

I've modded and re-modded Skyrim several times, including the DD suite and a whole bunch of other LoversLab mods. I've managed to get them working each time, but never without issues. There's instructions for everything, but I found there's always an additional issue or two the needs to be troubleshooted. It often involves searching for additional guides from people who have experienced the same issues. Or reaching out the to mod creators.

The Skyrim modding community is amazing, but it's more of a process to get the SexLab related mods going compared to some of the easy plug-n-play mods out there (the ones that don't need FNIS, BodySlide, etc). I was willing to spend the time in the past. But honestly, it's this process that stops me each time I think about diving into it again.

I'm kind of hoping TES6 mod community flourishes and a lot of LoversLab move there (if the sun doesn't burn out first lel). I've seen discussions from some of the LoversLab Skyrim modders about wanting the opportunity to start fresh to improve upon a lot of the pitfalls on how the current mod frameworks are built.

Not trying to hijack this forum for skyrim so this will be my last reply on this matter

I'm currently using version 1.6.640 which I had to manually downgrade to and then freeze updates because I'm using mods made for Skyrim LE (There's essentially LE aka the old version, SE aka Special Edition and AE, anniversary edition, but many don'T even differentiate between SE and AE.)
and those mods do not function alongside other mods unless those mods are on 1.6.640 and you keep having these version problems, not to mention that you'll have mods from 2017 that won't run on anything past 1.6.640 and then some new mods require the latest versions of mods that are incomptabile with 1.6.640 so you always have to wager which mods to kick out and which to keep. And then you have abandoned mods which require you to find community-made fixes you can apply. And some mods you will only find on external websites entirely. And then there are mods that will brick your game; and other mods that will unbrick the game but brick it in a different way.
It's a huge mess. My skyrim sessions usually end in me being unable to draw weapons, open the menu, the map, the inventory or equip any spells. All because of bugs. Heck, some even disable jumping.

yeah that's called modding. Its been like that since the first mods for games were created. Its rarely a clean easy to install no problems process. its just the nature of hacking a game with content it didn't ship in, and some games are pretty broken at publishing anyway, much less having to hack stuff in. If you aren't used to PC games, I can see how it can seem daunting, but that was always the nature of pc gaming. Sometimes it worthwhile to get out of the console mindset, it can reward your time.

its not as easy as you're making it seem. considering devious devices isn't updated to the most recent version and requires some fiddling with DD NG and load order changing. Not to mention a lot of DD additions aren't updated for NG and require their own NG versions

but this isn't a skyrim thread this is a thread about a mouse girl sneaking around lol

There's also a modlist downloader. While it is basically preset variations of mods, you can usually change some of them a bit to customize your own playstyle. I think it's called Jabberwock or something like that. It basically downloads the entire list of mods, and puts them in the correct order as needed, and gives step-by-step instructions on getting setup so that all you have to do after their instructions, is customize a few things here and there. It does take a very long time to download some of those lists though, especially if you don't have mega and/or nexus premium.

Clearly the trick was writing a review post on the forums and putting it as your top honorable mention of 2025!
More content, looking forward to where this game goes!

...wait, wasn't the last update for this game 0.1.5?
Why'd we get a thread update if nothing on the face changed—just a mistype, or something secret under the hood?

It's been said before, but there was version 0.1.6, a $7 tier Supporters-only build back in September that changed a buttload of things under the hood so that the developer roadmap for version 0.2.0 would be more easily achievable in the long term. They're basically rebuilding the game using the new framework. They've got the main hub map, then they're going to rebuild the first map from previous versions, then there's the upcoming Casino map. Not to mention the implementation of a proper Save system and further refinement of an overhauled inventory UI, and so on.

1.7 is going to take a while precisely because the grand total of TWO DEVELOPERS on this project have a lot of work ahead of them to get the game back into a properly playable state.
