Hey everyone! Sorry for the overdue update, it's 0.1.5 now, it doesn't add anything new compared to the 0.1.5 on itch, it's literally the same files, so don't worry if you tried it on itch already.
Thanks for all the support once again, I'll be here more consistently from now on to listen to each and every one of your opinions!
Subbed on Patreon to try the most recent version. No save system, no character customization besides outfit slots, and during a mission I equipped something that is "locked" because of my neck item, and I got permanently stuck in a location. Not worth your time, deleted and moved on.
Sorry to hear you didn't like it. Hope you will check it out again when it's more complete!
As it is right now it's in a weird state between a technical demo and a pre-alpha. A lot of the code-side problems are invalidated right now, new ones are introduced, you know, things change. The 0.1.X releases will be marked as legacy in the future most likely!
As for supporting us on patreon - as it is right now we want to keep the game free for everyone! Supporters getting early access is a way of saying thank you to people that liked it enough to decide to support us.
This could change in the future, but we won't start selling the game until we decide it's presentable enough to be introduced as a complete game, so many more features added, all the bugs squashed and so on. And even then the people that supported us would get a key to the game + probably some additional goodies for being there early!
Clearly you did not read the thread (or the patreon page, for that matter) at all before subscribing to the patreon and posting here, otherwise you would have known save system, character customization and wardrobe system are all planned for 0.2.0 -all of those were discussed at length here, and the patreon has a public "0.2.0 roadmap" post explicitly mentioning those features.
As for bugs, I believe you have not mentioned anything that was not mentioned before in this very thread either...
Edit: Not to mention, the most recent version is available on Itch for free (and has been for over a month), Patreon just got it early. So if that was your only reason to subscribe... you played yourself by not checking any information you had at your disposal.
Regarding the 0.2.0 update - we bit off more than we could chew, instead of delivering the full 0.2 update we divided our work and will be releasing everything that would go into the full update as smaller incremental versions up until 0.2.0!
So next one is going to be 0.1.6 with a lot of core systems changed and starting at the hub this time, we would like to treat 0.2.0 as a fresh start with everything being set up more robustly!
Appreciate the clarification! I'm always reminded of the meme that Warframe has been in Open Beta for 12 years
It amuses me how even the wikipedia page for warframe acknowledges that the game is going to be in beta forever
