As if this week couldn't get any worse. My computer just stopped working. Got a BSoD with a "unexpected store exception" rebooted itself into bios, made sure everything was still being read correctly, did the typical save and exit.

But instead of restarting, it shut itself down. There's also green blinking lighting around the Bios Flashback button (ProArt Z790 Creator Wifi). Not getting any boot or power whatsoever. And the manual was basically useless in this regard. Tried CMOS clearing, removing the other's ram stick, checked plugs. Only thing I can think of is the NVMe finally took a shit.

Kind of in a fucked situation where I have no access to money to have someone look at it, or even a PayPal to have money transferred to me. So "possible" lack of progress is now a "definite" lack of progress.

Getting put through it right now. Apologies for any radio silence.

Sorry to hear that you are having computer issues. the message "unexpected store exception", does sounds like your storage device, however it could also be your storage controller (another word, possible systemboard/motherboard issue) as well. Keep your old storage drive (assumed you only have NVMe).

Hopefully you can resolve your computer issue soon.

Have a great day and be safe... (y)

When it rains it pours. That really sucks, MissFortune. Hopefully you get it figured out soon because it sounds stressful as hell.

So, looks like the money will be going back into my frozen account sometime tomorrow. Will have to go to the bank and get it transferred over to the new one. If you saw my post on F95, my PC also decided to crap out on me.

My parents came through with the computer stuff and offered to pay for the diagnostic. The good news here is that it appears to be the power supply. Though he couldn't check much else due to the guy looking at it not having a 1600w PSU (which is odd given it's a repair shop) to test with. But since I wasn't getting power at all and he was with another PSU, it feels like that's probably the issue.

The bad news is that I have to RMA the PSU. That could take 2-4 weeks, nor do I have the $500 to shell out at the moment for a new one. So, I'll be out of commission for a couple weeks, most likely. It sucks, but I can't do a lot about it. All support throughout this time is very much appreciated either way!

That being said, I'll leave a link here to said PSU if anyone has too much money to spend lol. ❤

Not sure if it'd help, but I have an extra 850w power supply just laying around...

So, if you haven't been keeping up. I've had a pretty bad week or two. It seems like it's mostly clearing up a bit now, but still have some stuff to figure out.

On the money front, it seems like I've gotten it back from Bank of America. After two separate investigations created by borderline incompetence from their employees inputting wrong amounts. Will be calling them on Monday to figure out if the credit is permanent (it says so on my account, but better safe than sorry, or so it appears with their employees. Not really out of the water yet, either. I've got a negative account on my PayPal account and it's currently limited. Will likely be moving to Stripe for the foreseeable future regardless, but I'd still want a PP account in case that doesn't work out. So, will probably be on the phone with both the bank and PP for the better part of Monday. Seems like that nightmare's finally almost over.

A couple days after that happened, my computer blue screened and rebooted into the bios. I shut the PC down and tried to restart it again only to get zero power. The repair guy I took it to finally narrowed it down to the PSU (though he wasn't sure what caused it, which he suspected the motherboard might've played a role in). It was going to be a couple weeks before I could start rendering again either way due to the PSU. Chain Breaker (actual name and such are being hidden, and I'm using this as a name he gave me to use) came through and bought the PSU. I don't have access to my Discord account right now (so hopefully he's reading this.), but I got the PSU late last night. I'm going to start working on getting the old one out today, and will likely be stress testing for a while, just to make sure everything's working correctly. Should be back to rendering tomorrow or Sunday.

So, just wanted to give another big shout to Chain Breaker for coming through (again).

That's about it for now. I'll probably post an update on X/Twitter if everything works as it should to avoid spamming you guys. I appreciate you all putting up with my bitching/venting the past few days. Should be back on track soon. :)

Any news on update?
1724391315336.png

So, I've been going back and forth with Steam since June getting things right. Between the week-long wait times for each issue/message/etc. between us and working on the game, it's taken a bit longer to get to this point than I would've liked. That being said, the current build is finally approved. I've started reaching out to curators already and hope to gain at least some momentum from that before the October NextFest.

I've had a fair bit of IRL drama the past couple weeks, but I'll spare you all from that since it's basically over with now.

Below you can find the current process for Episode 3.

1724391331980.png

  • We are at nearly 1600 renders. Leaving us about 200 more to go for the main story. Will still have an unspecified number left for the fundraiser game, but wanted to save that for last. Episode 3 is going to be in the ballpark of 2000 renders, give or take. The renders are rendered yet, as previously mentioned, but they're ready to go into batch rendering right away.

  • We've still got lewd animations to do, but that should take no longer than a few days. Further, writing will start as soon as the renders are finished.

  • Most of the minor tasks are finished. The Superstar traits should be fairly quick as far as image placement goes. Will be done during the writing process, most likely. The big task left is the character menu. It'll be worked on soon here. Will get the major characters done, at the very least. But the goal is to get it finished for good. Been working on it too long lol.

  • Episode 3 should be up well before the new release date (see below). Key word here being should. Plans never go as they should. But the goal is sooner than later.

  • Achievements and Cloud saves have been added.

We have much more thorough updates on the site that must not be linked here (starts with a P) for free. If you're interested in some of the more technical details.

Now here's what you're actually here for:

1724391356238.png

My original release date was the same day as Call of Duty. I don't care how much it's fallen off versus its predecessors, I'm not arrogant enough to release alongside a AAA title lol. And since we can't release on weekends, the first Tuesday of November is looking about right. Plus it'll give me a little space in between the NextFest and the release day to prep/fix smaller things.

As mentioned, I meant to do this some time ago, but going back and forth with Steam made it kind of hard to do. In addition to Move the Chains, there'll be a DLC with a walkthrough mod (hints and/or highlighted choices) along with a PDF version of the walkthrough that'll try to concisely explain the logic behind everything. Along with the walkthrough options, the DLC will be updated often with new wallpapers as the game progresses in both 21:9 and 16:9 options.

Anyways, that about covers it for now. I should have more concrete information as we get closer to release. Thanks for all the wishlists and support thus far from everyone.

So how many LI’s are there right now? and what are the names of the LIs?
MissFortune
I don't see the point in having a list of names, but here you go:

Laura, Sky, Eisley, Diana, Makenna, Renee, Ivy, Taylor, Susie, Demi, Emily, Yuna, Kara, Maya, Abbie, Alaina, Ria, Kelsey (Swallow), Nicole, Soo, Lydia, Fame, Raven, Scarlett, Parker, Kaya, Jude

I think I got them all

Not all of the characters listed are main LI’s some are side pieces (hookups) such as Sky, Renee, etc.

On the first page for the game in the Developer Notes section you can see the main LI’s. Though it’s not confirmed if all of them will be main LI’s (I think he mentioned two of the characters possibly not being main LI’s, forgot which ones).

I've played a game and when one of the love interest had the same name as my mom and then another had the same name as my sister it totally threw me for a loop. Maybe the guy is just being extra careful.

That list is non exhaustive and includes characters who've unfortunately been cut from being LIs like Hazel, Lydia and Noemi. It's also missing LIs like Ivy.
