I'm going as fast as I can with a full time job taking the horse's share of time. I'm thinking I might start splitting each Episode into two updates of a thousand or so renders to get them out a bit faster. Will have to see how supporters and such feel about it, but it feels like it might be better than waiting nearly a year per update at this point.

No abandonment. Not unless one of these services come after me like they did Drifty with Leap of Faith, or something like that. Closest thing happening to a remake might be some rewrites of early portions, and slowly replacing renders from the first release to get rid of anime-face MC, but both are just background WIPs that'll just get some sprinkles and are nothing that'll change the current development of then game.
Noice, appreciate you, both your work on the VN, but also for actually giving a f-ck and responding to my not-so important comment :)
The whole shorter but more often updates is a can of worm I probably shouldn't open. BUT, here's my 2 cents for what it's worth. We (the players) have our wishes and preferences. Some of us prefers one silly big update once a year. Some of us(read: ME) prefer way shorter updates that comes out, if not monthly, then every 2-3 months. IMO every one wins. If it's doable for the person making the VN aside though. People wanting just one big update every year? Well they can then *choose* completely by their own free will, to skip the next 3-4 updates, and tadaa, they'll have a massive update once per year(even if it's technically 3+ updates they're catching up on). Meanwhile, an update once every 12+ months, is - and again I must stress, this is MY opinion only - just damaging for *my* interest in the long run. Simply because I keep forgetting what the hell happened or what the story is even about lol. I wont mention other games for many reasons here, but there's a couple of really 'big hitters' that has maybe an update once every year if even that - I have honestly stopped playing them. One of them I've skipped the last 2 updates, I just can't be bothered sinking so much time into a 'story' I barely remember (game in this case is..well, let's just call it BaD - and if you know you know) I just lose interest as I said. Plus I'm personally more willing to support a project where I can actually get 'gameplay' *several* times per year. Preferably monthly but not all stories are built in a way I guess where you can just find a sweet spot to 'cut off' the update.
Again, all this is probably meaningless rambling from me. But wanted tho throw my 2 cents at ya. In the end, do what feels best and right for *you*, and even if 'money' is a factor, what current or potential supporters might say, should always come second to what you can, will, and are able to do.
I will 100% support the idea of more than 'once a year update'. It would truly help keep the interest for MtC up. And less risk of the classic "is it abandoned? oh noes, another one bites the dust..blahblah".
For me, I rather have lets say 100 renders update each month, than a million every 12 months. Yes exaggaration to get my point across only. But again, that's just me and my preferences. I know that every single (which is not many tbh) projects I've supported, have *all* been releasing updates either every month or every 2. Once they started drifting towards 3-4 months, I pulled out.
I dunno, it's partly because as I said, easier to remember and get into the 'flow' of the story etc if you dont have to wait forever for the next 'chapter'. And partly because if I'm 'throwing' money at something to support, I like to actually have something to show for it, more than once a year.
Maybe I make zero sense here, so I'll shut up lol.
For what it's worth, and as I already mentioned, really like MtC, and I wish it would pop out an update soon - not saying that as something negative or 'rushing' you - just that..well you know how it is when you wait for something. Gimme gimme! lol

Well, I've done my deed for the day, managed to put people to sleep with this wall of text. I'll see myself out

Wow ok, so I come from europe and when I hear the word "football" I think of "soccer" not american football =P

I have little to no knowledge about american football so it's nice that this avn has a glossary to explain the words used but... even the explanations uses words I have never heard of xD

Please dev, rewrite the glossary in a way that people who are totally ignorant about american football, know what which word means.

I mean if I read this; "a defender is positioned off the line of scrimmage for the purpose of covering pass receivers and tackling runners who elude linemen and linebackers."

I can only understand half of it and a quarter is guess work, the rest I have no clue; First what is scrimmage? what is a pass receiver? Is it seriously a player that's only there to catch a ball? what are linemen and linebackers? how many of them are there?

It's just, the explanation of the glossary sort of assumes that you know a little bit about american football and doesn't go too deeply into the explanation itself nor is it simplified for people like me who have no clue about the game. Even though it's in english, I feel as if I read a dialect I can't understand xD
