I have heard of similar cases. But personally, I'm facing the first time.
My antivirus closes the game after a minute or two and deletes the executable.
Not that I'm paranoid, but as I said, this has never happened before.

Found the solution. The game is hard coded to run at 720p resolution. But when you alt-tab it to fullscreen, when launching it again it will set it up to your monitor resolution, thus breaking the game.

You just need to create a shortcut, opein its properties, and add this command line in the "Destination" bar, after the stuff between the commas " "

I created a shortcut as described and inserted "-screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080" as the string as explained, nothing happened, I tried "-screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720" as the standard 720p resolution, yet that failed too... changing the main screen resoluition to 1280x720 worked to view the game without the screen screwing up, but I would prefer to not do that if possible

don't use the quotes. You should put that code at the end, outside of the quotes.
