Yikes im at my limit with this one. I cannot get tool to launch or inject to games. I get this error every time.
Its running off of my storage drive but when i move the game over to my main drive its the same thing. Tried redownloading Mtool, disabling AV (Windows defender), tried installing a different AV, tried different games but still the same errors. If it matters the drives its on are bitlocker encrypted but that never mattered before. Any help would be appreciated im pulling my hair out!

couple of things come to mind...
Verify that the folder isn't write protected ( sometimes gets flagged when windows thinks you downloaded the folder from the web.
Try running mtool as admin and see if it makes a difference.

Figured it out, there was remnants of my old AV (webroot) from over a year ago I uninstalled running hidden in the background (found with task manager). Had to safe mode uninstall it.

This goes along with my belief that that biggest viruses are the virus scanners themselves...

yeah he quoted the wrong person...with what you said, I looked at the game, the engine isn't supported by mtool in either forms, the html version or the exe version.

If you're using Windows, the antivirus is based on machine learning and is extremely trigger happy. Shouldn't be an issue as far as I know, and if you are truly uncomfortable you can always throw it through virustotal, or run it in a VM. Not sure if it would work in Sandboxie which might be something to look at.

I cannot get the font or font size to change in any game anymore.

Not sure if this is the one or not, but have you tried changing the folder path to remove the japanese characters? There was one game I recently got that the tildes were the culprits.

Alredi tried it with renaming the folder name to the dlsite id number but no dice. All i can think of is that because the whole game is packed into a single .exe spare the saves makes it too complicated for the tool to run the game properly.
