I'm just saying shit from memory here so don't quite me on that) and so he only does original characters now
I wouldn't really say it's the lack of "competition". Plenty of artists improve by themselves whether it's for passion or to try and get more fans. It's not like Mura has already captured the entire potential 2D bestiality animation market. I think he can certainly get more fans if the overall art quality improved. Not that it's exactly bad rn, but if it was only still images then his works would be kinda mid in terms of appearance.
I think stagnation is a general issue with a lot of artists that put out monthly content. They have consistent output every month but it also leaves no room in their schedule. No time to focus only on improving their art whether it's learning a new technique or refining their current process. I find that the artists that improve more are the ones that sometimes take an extra month or more as needed to release their next work.
I wouldn't mind if Mura took a month off or reduced the quantity of videos released to spend more time to improve the quality of each one. I feel people would still come back to support after a break, maybe even maintain their subscription during the break. Though I don't know their situation so maybe they'd rather not risk anything and take the stable income they currently have.
There was a lot more variety in sex positions and creature types in his early stuff present in the archive here, though the animation in those ones are very, very rough especially compared to his current output. Pretty sure he's making good money pumping out what he does at such a high rate though so I get it.
Among the insect stuffs , i think Mura still unique among them . Most of the video is 3D with terrible loud music choice .

I doubt it tbh since she already has a lot of content along all the other hololivers, I don't think we'll ever know who and how it should even affect Mura since there's all the artists in the world making porn of said characters as they please, still wishing that they return to doing characters we all know instead of OCs...
Sorry the phrasing makes it seem like I know who it was. I don't know if it was on a copyright side, but independently if it was a character or a vtuber it was mostly because of the content (bug stuff), since he was getting big and they probably didn't like being involved with it
Honestly he probably just got some sort of cease and desist and took down everything instead of trying to fight it... Like I'm sorry but he probably knows that the guy making porn of virtual characters fucking bugs isn't realistically winning a copyright dispute

He sometimes did that... i remember a few videos, some with a spider, or one time he did a bee with a futa, and other times some non-existing weird insects. But they're the easiest bugs you can realistically attach a penis to.
The thing with Mura's work its all commissions every month he makes a raffle and two to three of the applicants are picked randomly and he draws there ideas, so technically they are to blame for stagnation/lack of imagination, but Mura occasionally takes brakes from commissions and maybe if he dose anything in that month those are his ideas (his taking a brake in June so lets hope fore something interesting)
