VN Others Completed Musicus! [R18] [Overdrive]

Well, I just finished Mikazuki's route - I'm playing Kosaka's route right now - and... man, I'm really really really really really really disapponted.

MIND YOU: I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVED Kira Kira, and I enjoyed Deardrops so much - Kira Kira made me restart playing music after so many years and join a band, too (not Rock'n'roll - we were playing jazz).

BUT... Musicus is really disappointing. Underwhelming. Even though MUSIC had a main role in Kira Kira and in Deardrops, you could say that Musicus' Main Female Character isn't a girl... but Music Itself.

Romancing? sex? love interests? the story is mostly MC overthinking the meaning of music, how to make music, playing music and how making money by making music.

Even worse, male band members have even more space in the story than female band members who are supposed to be MC's Love Interests. But the Authors didn't care: most of the times MC is arguing with that annoying Kaneda dude that's supposed to make me laugh while he's bantering, but he's only able to make me feel annoyed.

So what do we have in Musicus? lots of pointless questioning and inner speeches on success in music career (why good bands don't sell at all, what does "this song is good/bad/great" mean, in the end), lots of annoying rants by a dude, some unwanted and shocking DRAMATIC EVENTS NO ONE NEEDED, AND A FUCKING SHITTY ENDING.

I still have to play 2 more routes - but... I don't expect anything different or better, since Mikazuki is the MAIN girl, after all.

yeah the game tries to get you involved and engaged some routes you go yeah i wanna see where this goes, sadly the game is a wall of text-emotions and 0 selections where you go, i went one route and sadly i will never revisit this game its just game on rails beside a few choices you go erh where going

Tho if you want a game with the "feels" you will play the game but sadly you will be wanting more as some parts will make you go aaah then suddenly got wth is happening

Already finish all routes...and yeah
Have mixed feeling with this... all depressing for me, no romantic at all with this normal VN especially the endings with heroines. It's likely no heroines at all... and narration text with NVL style is so damn long
plus annoying one character that always dominate entire vn...
Overall... frustrating and too dark VN especially with music theme.

but yeah maybe this is typical "overdrive" style when they make their games... with the worst one is bokuten...
glad this will be their last one...

It's a fucking busload of depressing, pretentious and anticlimatic crap.

I love music, I love rock, I love Kira-Kira and I like Deardrops, but Musicus is... well, garbage.

Even though there was a lot of heavy drama in the first Kirari route, you could stand it because you knew that after that you could play the real good ending, and most of all because you felt for the characters.

But... how can you feel for Musicus' main characters? honestly, I think MC, the main heroine and her brother are just a bunch of egotistical psychos. Everything they say and everything they do doesn't make any sense at all.

And please don't say that Musicus has a realistic vibe. It hasn't.
