Now-a-days it's not worth anything above $5 tier for me, and that is after waiting for a few updates to play.

I would be surprised if there are many who want to invest 20-30$ now, when there is always the risk of loosing of money and without the game too (or update...). Some devs have only exacerbated these things with their delivery, maybe things will change a bit on Patreon (they're grabbing all the money now anyway!)…
