So I noticed 2.5.5 seems to end at the same spot as the previous version. Am I lead to believe that when he uses the term "updated" he's not added anything new, just improved/fixed older content?

to put it simple, with the update 2.5 there were up to 109 animations, with update 2.5.5 there are still 109 animations but 30 are reworked somewhere between first release and latest update 2.5.
(And no, im not gonne count the +1000 still frames)

well, depends on when you update, for me there was anough new content though haha. (i usually wait 2 or 3 updates depending on content released)
