yeah after playing a few times i noticed the walkthrough on the main page. There were a few paths i missed but i always get the to be continued at the end day 21 or so where the mother tells him that his dad is gone. Did the son x mom the friend x mom cant do the path with mom and both boys though. And did the father daughter and the son web girl also. Maybe if i play around more with stuff i missed they ll get to a more proper ending

There are some scenes between the MC and his best friend, but it's incomplete (I think).
Just follow the walkthrough.

You can get around this one of two ways, early on there are two choices to have Lex admire Tom or To set up a dating profile for him. If you do both this problem will arise. So my suggestion is to go back and change your choice unless someone wants to look at day 10 and fix the if sequence thats adding to the "playablenum" variable.

My quick attempt to solve it failed, Im tired may look at it another time.

Aye, if you decompile the sripts.rpa, then enter a value on line 990 of the day 18 file which should read, $ playablenum = 0 and just make sure you play as Joe as last person on day 18 then it gets you passed that glitch, or at least worked for me. Was frustrated as hell stuck on day 18 so had to find a way. No idea if there will be other issues like that though, this obviously wont work anywhere else as the file, line number, and variable will change.

It is completed, but there is a bug that prevents you from continuing after a certain point. There is a solution in thread, but you'll have to find it.

i found it by luck, there was a patreon patch that using it will make the game shorter instead of longer.
i redownloaded it and it worked

That's right. There's a new update for this mediocre cluster fuck of a game! The fact it took me months to make this update shows how little time I have to work on them these days. Despite what some have thought in the past I do unfortunately work on these projects alone.

This update is being posted here only, but anyone can share it where ever and however they please. I don't care.

For those of you out there who follow me and/or my projects and want a new update for The Seed. One is on the way! I wanted to finish this one first. Currently I'm transitioning work areas/computers so it may be a little while longer. The update for that game will be uploaded and posted here as well in that game's thread. It will be the last update for The Seed and conclude the story.

Overall, MBFF was disappointing to me. It didn't really come out how I had envisioned it. Some parts turned out okay I think. The original plan was probably a bad idea anyway given how difficult this version is to play. It's pretty bad when the developer needs to use the walk-through guide to test the game! If it had been made the way I originally planned with more importance on the order you play each character every day it would have been even more of a confusing web.

I don't want to say for certain this is the final update for this game, but it probably will be the last. Unless something else is majorly broken.

Changes for My Best Friends Family v1.1

*Fixed all the bugs I could find. Others may still exist because some bugs only show up on different computers.

*When hiding the screen to see the images the quick menu will now hide too.

*New smaller dialogue box for better visibility of the scene images.

*New images added to Natali/Lex path and some dialogue added/rewritten.

*Last day of Lex/Elle path updated with more scenes and dialogue.

*New path added with Tom's mom April. To begin it you must begin the Natali/Lex path.

*Dialogue changed in some scenes. Typos fixed throughout. Probably missed some still.

*9 old animations updated. Some were completely replaced.

*7 completely new animations added.

Even with all these behemoths of good games on this website, this little game is definitly one of my favourites. Thanks for pleasantly suprising me and I'm looking forward to maybe new updates (no pressure tho).
