Do you need to play sicae first or are they seperate stories? Or is it more references/lore things in this one that relate to sicae, or the other way around?

it isn't necessary but it's better play Sicae too. There are a lot of characters from Sicae and for the lore.
I stopped playing Sicae at some early point because I got bored. Even though I expected good things because I first played this game and loved it. Based on this experience, I would recommend starting with the present game, which is really outstanding in many ways.
PS: I am sure it's just a problem with the initial pacing of Sicae, so I am planning to return to it at some point. But MBIML doesn't have such a pacing problem, so it's a better starting point.

so i already finish Sicae newest update
and right now i play MBIML at episode 6
i'm really confused with the timeline now.
but i guess MBIML is post-Sicae?
but that make me even more confused that Owl supposedly already killed Hera there as Hera already retired before that happen.
and she's so healthy in MBIML considering Owl incident in golden city is 5 years ago,
and Moon here look younger here than she was in Sicae.
and not to mention Jess "boyfriend" and Kana asking to get preg after hearing jess probably preg is not making sense if this was Pre-Sicae.
so i don't know if this was supposed to be Pre-Sicae or post-Sicae or just reference or even alternate universe or what?
or i might got misunderstood some information in some of the talking.
perhaps dev willingly to share a bit?
