[Announcement] MBML Chapter 2 - Episode 1

Alrighty, here we are.
For those of you who got to play the Sicae update—hope you had a blast! But I know most of you are probably here for this bit of news:
We’re finally heading back to work on MBML!
Now, we’re not diving straight into development just yet (your boy still needs some rest ), but yep—it’s official. We’re jumping back into MBML for three new episodes, and after that... well, we’ll just have to see where the ride takes us.
But before we dive into what’s coming, let’s rewind a bit.
I know some of you weren’t exactly thrilled about the whole three-year time skip—and hey, that’s fair. There are a bazillion reasons to be skeptical. But I’ve already made peace with the fact that this could go south real quick. But if you know me, you know I love digging into the past. It’s my thing—and it’s what both games have been doing all along. That’s not about to change.
That said, the time marches forward, and leading the charge in Chapter 2 – Episode 1 is none other than Klara.
She and Kei didn’t get much intimate development in Chapter 1, so watching that dynamic unfold is gonna be… spicy. And I'll tell you, her arc needed that time skip. No way around it.
If I had to sum up Klara’s storyline? Simple, but powerful.
It’s not one of those arcs that’ll leave you lying awake at 3 AM questioning your entire life… probably. (Seriously, it's not.)
I spent days trying to finish her story—wanted to treat her like a real woman, not just pull inspiration from mm-hm, because... she is our mm-hm.
I’ve come to realize I’ve been overcomplicating things lately—not just with her, but across the board. So I stripped it back, kept it clean, and focused on what matters: character depth. Let’s see how far we can take this one.
Now don’t worry—this isn’t turning into the Klara Show™.
We’re also laying down a fresh foundation with some new story threads, so everyone’s gonna get their time in the spotlight. New mysteries, fresh drama, and the gang’s all grown up now… well, mostly.
Let me make this loud and clear: Chapter 2 is gonna be deeply character-driven. There's barely any main story.
So Nii, does that mean more romance?
Yup! But MBML isn’t just about heart-flutters and hand-holding.
A huge chunk of Chapter 2 is dedicated to Kei—our MC.
You’ve probably wondered why I gave him that power or ability. It’s not just to make him look cool or to flex on enemies while saving his onaholes.
It’s something personal. Something he’s gonna have to wrestle with on a deeper level.
I won’t spoil it here, but you’ll know exactly what I mean the second Episode 1 starts.
So... Nii, are you gonna make us cry again?
Well… no.
And also... yeah.
Chapter 2’s mostly good vibes and wholesome content, but don’t get too comfy. There’s definitely some emotional gut-punches coming your way.
Anyway, I’ll save the spoilers for the Status Reports.
Oh, and before I go, I’ll be posting character renders of everyone in their new looks—one for each. These are not teasers, just design showcases.
And to the Freya redesign haters out there... she’s going up first.
