I mean, it is your fault, right? It's not like you gave people the option to close the door in their face if we thought what they did was too terrible, and we didn't want to forgive them...

Oh wait... You did give people that option...

It's *almost* like accepting the premise that the MC forgives them is the whole starting point for the story, and if someone didn't like that you gave them an out... how about that?

Keep doing good work NiiChan, you're one of the better storytellers making these types of games.

I never said that the option to slam the door in their face doesn't exist. I make a point of saying that the game doesn't acknowledge that not only does he not have any reason to help them, but they give him very little reason TO help them beyond the maid girl saying he'd basically force him to. Which, if you paid attention, is exactly what she'd have said she would do even if he had slammed the door in her face. She would have persisted in asking him to help her, knowing that he would eventually cave and help out Aine. I'm not sure why that's a hard concept for you to understand, considering how smart you come off as.

Why is it difficult for you to get that the issue here isn't a lack of choice, but the decided absence of common sense when it comes to interpersonal relationships. The game says he's moved on and gained confidence in himself after getting the body that he wanted, but that doesn't mean that he should have gotten closure with the bullies of his past. Nor does it mean that he should have been willing to give them a chance, as it's perfectly reasonable to not WANT to, regardless of their situation. It's not realistic for someone to be that forgiving of someone after they've bullied them and go out of their way to solve all of their problems. It's also not something anyone should be promoting as a way of life, either. Because, as I said, that sort of behavior encourages people to not only walk over you but to take advantage of your kindess because they know you'll say yes. That's the entire point that I'm making here. Why is it unreasonable to point something like that out? Why is it unreasonable to want to see someone, ANYONE, make a point of stating that in-game and calling out the MC for helping the way that he is?

Also, now that I think about it, the mom says that she's letting them live there so they can work out their issues. But from the way things go within the first few minutes of the story, literally all of the issues he had with them are worked out in the space of 24 to 72 hours. That's...not a lot of time when it comes to hashing out their issues. Like, there are no lingering feelings of anger that maybe make him hesitate to help them or cause him to have an emotional outburst that kind of makes them realize how badly they hurt him. It's weird and it comes off as though that the dude's emotions and problems are secondary to theirs because he's a guy.

So how far is LCC set from this game and how exactly do they connect?
MBML is set around 2 years after the events of LCC. They are connected in that a large part of the cast from LCC is present in MBML and some even have major roles in MBML. And of course, some characters from MBML are present in LCC as well.

So will there be a point where LCC ends and MBML will connect together as surely LCC has to end at the beginning of MBML or close to it?

I'm highlighting these statements because my original post was meant to be a lighthearted sarcastic one to encourage NiiChan and bring some levity. I wasn't expecting a response. I actually agree with some of what you said, it would be nice if more time was spent on some dialogs and the like, but at the end of the day this is a game with limited resources and time to get it all out, so some expediting of drama is required.

To the statements: I was the victim of a bully in school (far worse than the MC was here), and I have forgiven them. If they came into my life now needing help I would do it, because I have moved past it and don't hold grudges. I learned that hatred, resentment, jealousy, and a need for revenge are poisons you drink expecting to make someone else sick. I wouldn't even need 24 hours because it is already done, I have already forgiven them long ago. It is entirely believable to me (in the context of a game even more so) that more than enough time has gone by for the MC to be willing to help them, especially when he learns the truth about their circumstances.

Would it be nice to have even more time to flesh it all out and have deeper conversations? Of course, more content is always a plus, but we also have to understand that this is a game and a story that has to be finished and has to move along. Dwelling on moments isn't always the right call for the flow of the story. I (and many others) feel that enough has been said by the MC and done by the girls, and revealed about the context of what happened to warrant moving on with the story.

You may feel that more time should have been devoted to those aspects of the story and that is fine too, but the story is moving past those arcs.

Been replaying the game again and made some observations.

I hope that is where the Klara and Lilly story goes too. Lily needs to find more connections to the group.
