First you have to beat the guy in the pool bar, then you unlock park location. In the park you have to beat him again, and the beat the other guy from the park. That's how you meet Vanessa - the doctor from college. Go to infirmary for checkup, and then go again another day, she'll give you the ointment.

I found a way around it by re extracting the game without the walkthrough mod playing the scene with Katya then saving and playing with walktrough from there.

First of all you must have an updated deck.
Secondly you don't have to use all the turns at once they stack up.
You can choose the start of the battle. Back button (page up button?) to start a new battle.
Choose start of a battle with maximum of 2 damage.
Only use the shield if it's useful otherwise save your turn. Power attack pierces your shield.
If you face 4 strength normal attack then use 4 strength shield.
Use +2 attacks whenever possible and with +1 power attacks when you see fit.
Rest depends on luck, what kind of attacks you will encounter.

Thats the basics of the game, but not really a route to beat him. The game seems to depend as you say purely on the luck of the cards and attacks. There is no logic to it at all.... kind of a waste of time really.

I want to delete this game and start over. Usually all I have to do is delete the saves and the folder under Renpy in roaming under app data. I di allthis and when I start the game the saves are still there. Please help me and tell me what I have missed? Thanks
