Yes! I'm a cat person also and don't like dogs smaller then my cats. And I have one not that small. lol The problem is also the smaller the dog (usually) the more they bark(yap). Size compensation. lol
Yeah that could be problematic if the dog is smaller than the cat....

Probably 'the', it's one key to the right from t to y and e to r, on an English qwerty keyboard.
my guess would be he has a traditional spanish keyboard (almost the same) only the keys with ñ,¨^and some other signs are in a different arangement., but the "y" and "t" are at the same position so your guess is on point

Remember this is Alt-California. I changed some laws because Alt-Arnold was a bit crazier.
The most important "new" laws (shown or hinted in the game) are:
* Facilitate investigation with stem cells. He did it in his second term in RL, but in the first one in My Dorm's world. It's the PoD (besides the name changing of Morro Bay/Los Osos and San Simeon) in this alternative history, and what facilitates the creation of NTR.
* Mandatory teaching of both metric and imperial systems in primary school.
* His last bill was changing the drinking age to 18. He didn't care about federal road funding at that point. No governor after him has dared to change it back to 21 because of fear of losing the votes of 18-20 y.o.

Another reminder: The girls drank alcohol in the second chapter (Erika got wasted and Emma tipsy) at the club.
Also, you have Newport much closer to Santa Barbara than it is. An hour south of Santa Barbara is Malibu. An hour north of Newport is Long Beach. To get from Santa Barbara to Newport would probably be 3 and a half to 4 hours since you're traveling through the black hole of traffic that is LA.

To answer the question about 2 19 y.o.s having a wedding with alcohol. They probably could for their parents/guests but wouldn't be allowed to drink themselves. You can join the military, kill and die for your country but you can't have a beer*.

*unless you go to Mexico.

Dogs bark (and bite) most often when they are afraid. Little dogs are afraid of almost everything. My shepherd dog barks very rarely. Its appearance alone is enough to scare away the enemy. ;)

A case of misplaced fingers. Y is to the right of T and R to the right of E. "On THE weekends". There was a recompile (16.1) ready for yesterday to fix it and another couple of things. It had another typo, but this time it threw an exception, so I backpedaled to 16.0 and today will upload 16.2

I wouldn't worry too much about what terms are used as long as they are reasonably accurate. I don't believe you have stated that the setting is specifically in a city or region, or even the country (presumably it's the US) so you have a fairly wide latitude on what terms you call things. There may not be one specific term that is universally correct, such as whether to call a soft drink soda or pop. I have relatives in the southeast US whose generic term for a soft drink is a "coke", even if it's a Pepsi or Sprite, which can be very confusing to visitors.
The Reason for that is simple and yet complex. ( I know right?) Coca-Cola was the first Mass produced of the colored "soft" drinks. 2 engineers at coke were fed up with their contracts and quit. After leaving they met with a couple of investors and made their own version of "soft" drink minus the co-cane (Coke's original additive) and substituted caffeine and varied sugar levels. As an added addendum- Sarsaparilla (root beer) was the First Soft drink and was made so that cow hands didn't get (to) Drunk after work.

Okay, Xerox, Hoover and Kleenex are synonymous with their product wherever I've been. Can't say I've ever been somewhere people say Chiclets instead of Gum though ...
I think the Chiclets thing is perhaps a European thing (or at least an Iberian thing). In Spanish, we call it chicle. In Catalan chiclet. It comes from Nahuatl tzictli, so I'm not sure it has anything to do with the Chiclets brand or both derive from the original word.

I know it was said the students won't be seen using the Italian hand gesture like the rest of the family until the epilogue

But will we see Scarlett using it? She has to have been around the family at least as much as Eileen if not more.

Also, I think it'd be really nice if we start seeing more of the cast learning and or using sign language, ideally before but also during the epilogue.
Scarlett used her hands to communicate with her mother, so it's harder for her to adopt other people's gestures.
About sign language, I have something ready for v.0.17.

Yes, it's only a reference to her daughter.

Newport isn't Newport Beach. They are different places. Newport is where Morro Bay and Baywood-Los Osos are so, according to Google Maps, it's 1h50 (107 miles/171 km) from Santa Barbara.

Ah yes... America... where you can vote and drive... even die for your country but god forbid you drink before you're 21... :KEK:
sadly the full "rationale" for this is that till your body exits puberty usually by a persons 21st birthday they are still considered "growing" and as such alcohol may interfere with the process. So to "save" the future generations our fore-kin decided to prevent future generations from "doing self-damage" to limit access. it took a special panel in the early 1900's to allow folks from other cultures to allow minor's Extremely Limited access to alcohol and under VERY limited circumstances. Several families before the special dis-compensation had parents arrested for child-hurt from overly protective neighbors butting in without a lick of cultural sensitivity.
