Quick comment on this: while some other games have issues with these types of patches, this typically occurs when the patch itself replaces entire code scripts and stuff like that.I play without the patch because I have seen too many games ruined (maybe only temporarily) by the extra coding required. Errors creep in when there is a correction, then a correction of the correction is required etc. My mind is capable of still making the connection to Martha just fine, thank you very much. I don't need any patch and avoid much consternation.
In the case of My Dorm (and a few other games I can think of), the patch merely changes a variable from False to True and all other scripts remain unchanged. You can actually just do this yourself if you use the console or something like URM to change the variable.
In other words, using the patch or not doesn't affect the game scripts at all, so you won't see errors or corrections slipping in as a result of your decision regarding which version you play.
