Only question why can't we get this consolidated into one whole game instead of three? It isn't easy to download three games in anyway.
not really Hotel Harem is 12 gb and this game would be 10 gb so wouldn't it be easier for pc users the android version it isn't but pc it is.
As other players said, it's because of size. The hard limit is imposed by Android with its 2 GB (yes, I know there are methods to increase it, but if some players complain because the game closes after a black guy in a wheelchair says "The game will close, don't panic", I don't trust those players will be able to do it).
You name a game that doesn't have an Android version, so it isn't applicable. It has been around for 7 years, so I think everyone who wanted to test it has already done it and knows if they want to download 12GB every 4-5 months (I have no idea how often that game updates, but 7 years divided by 18 updates gives that average). My Dorm is a relatively unknown game. With every update I read 10-15 messages (in different sources) saying it's the player's first playthrough. Few people will download 12GB every 6-7 weeks for a game they don't know.
Having the game in three Seasons is good for the players. They download Season 1 (5GB) and, if they don't like it, they don't need to download the other (currently) 7GB of the other seasons. If they like it, they can store Season 1 and download Season 2. Store and repeat.
Keeping both versions (PC/Mac and Android) separated would mean more work for me:
* Keeping separate codes (with the chance of creating bugs).
* Keeping double storage for the images (and my images weigh a lot more than yours. The last video I did had 562MB of raw images for a 14s animation. There are 44 animations in the next update and 533 in the whole game. Multiply.).
* Double work when something should be fixed.
* Uploading bigger updates would cost me more time so fixing problems would be slower.
I have demonstrated I'm not afraid of work, but I prefer to work on something that brings something new to the table (like the next update or the next new feature, like I did with the gallery) rather than working on something that will increase my workload (and that means fewer updates per year) to decrease the number of downloads some players would do while losing potential players who will be scared to test something that big.
