I understand she wouldn't just disapear, I just thought that if her path is closed you wouldn't be as close to her as if it where open. It doesn't make sence to me being that close when the patch is closedEven if you close her Path she won't disappear from the Story, you do know that right?

Motherly closeness yes, Not sexual closeness and sleeping together.
All the movie nights with her head in your lap is inappropriate for someone you just see as that, a mother figure. With the path closed I just asumed she would just be a mother figure and not something else. I guess that's just me that doesn't want anything more with her

You aren't forced to be with anyone. (Read until point 5 at least)
1.- You never told her, "I don't want to see you again" or "ignore" her, because the MC is a nice human being and doesn't want to hurt her (or anyone who doesn't deserve it).
2.- Note that when you "close" her path, only the player knows he's closing that path, the conversation itself has no hint of opening or closing a path for any of the characters. It's not like with Emma, you kiss her or not, opening or closing her path. It's more subtle and only something the player, not the MC or Martha, knows.
3.- If your mother or surrogate mother was in a depressive state, and you thought going out to dinner with her would help her, wouldn't you go on ONE pseudo-date with her even if you don't want to fuck her?
4.- Your choices matter. If you reject her, you won't fuck her, don't worry.
5.- But they are YOUR choices, not HER choices, so she will try to seduce the MC until day 10, when they finally TALK about it. From then on, she behaves like you expect her to.
6.- Being close to your (surrogate) mother doesn't make sense? Let me tell you something. I kissed women I never fucked (or had any will to fuck). I slept in the same bed with some women without anything sexual happening (and we were both naked). Some of them were family members. I never "opened" a path with them. More importantly, I "closed" a path with some of them, talking about it.
7.- Her head in the MC's lap while watching a movie is inappropriate? I guess only in Iran, Afghanistan, or places like that. Not where the game is set.
I never said being close to her didn't make sence, I said being THAT close didn't make sence.
In my entire life I have never met any one THAT close to a family member, so yes to me the Idea to lay your head in a family memers lap is inappropriate.

Well besides, cultural differences, there are also different customs in each family.
as I said, in my culture and in my family it is common to be touchy, (not in a sexual way, like groping etc) but that when you lay on the sofa rest your head in your mother lap, or that she rests her head on your shoulder or also on your lap, it was seen as normal and tender, it did not trigger any sexual desire or exitement, in any of us.
Was the same with my stepmom, so I'm biased, in this sense.

Depending on where you live you almost certainly have met some. The thing is families act differently, for better and worse, behind closed doors among themselves than they do with an outsider present.
Oh this also somewhat applies to queer people too, if you don't know anyone who's queer that just means they're not out to you and likely for a good reason. This might sound out of nowhere, but you're given off strong queerphobe vibes and there are at two queer girls in the game so even if the cuddeling wasn't a deal breaker for you, those girls likely would be.

Let's be real:
1- The game allows you to choose what paths YOU the player opens.
2- The story is composed around a family, that love each other, and are close to each other, depending on YOUR choices, that closeness includes Sex
3- Refusing or simply ignoring their attempts at deeper closeness, is YOUR choice as a player, the characters know nothing about it. They will react to your behavior.
4- You are applying your expectations of behavior to the game, we are all sorry that you had to grow in such an emotional desert, but many of us had the marvelous childhood and Young Adult experience of being close to our Mothers, Sisters, Cousins, Aunts... With many Movie Nights, Beach and Pool play, Camping and more, so much more.
5- Except for the sex part, most of the interactions that are depicted in the game, are common. Really common. Families do touch each other, hugs are frequent, love languages include kissing, tenderness, touch, cooking, playing. And to be frank, in some cases, it even includes sex.
I know, it's shocking... but, incest isn't a problem in many places around the world, in some cases it is permitted, in others it is simply absent from the legislation (except as an aggravating for rape). In others it has conditions, like no minors involved...6- Your narrow views of family interactions are YOUR problem to solve or ignore, not the Dev, not the game and most certainly NOT us.
Identify, Adapt & Overcome. This is what you must do to your world views.

I never said anything was a dealbreaker, I just wanted to know about Martha, if I could play my playthrough the way I want to. I don't know where you get that from, I'm not a queerphobe and I don't have any other problems with anything or any other character exept from the situation with Martha.
