Which folder are you putting it and do you have clean install or do you just patch the game with every update?

In the "game" folder, with each update you have to re-apply the patch (delete the previous file, then add it again), then, just to be sure it triggers properly, after loading the save, just rollback a couple of renders and you are good to go.

Hey, I'm not claiming that's the only harem you should like, just that harems revolve around one person, be it a man or a woman. That's what a harem is. If you like the people included in the harem to have fun with one another, that's fine, you do you. But when the whole thing stops being centered around one person and they start being involved between each other, even if it's just "for the sake of entertainment, and because the alternative would be too cruel" it stops being a harem and becomes a polyamory, as you yourself said so.

Well if they are doing all that and it doesn't work, then they might want to try clean install for the game and the patch. Personally i very rarely use saves from previous versions, since majority of devs usually mess something up.

That popularity might be why it's not common in VNs or adult ones anyway. Could be that many devs don't want to give their characters the same name as one of their family, friends, or coworkers. Especuically if there's bad blood there
