The bad part of this mindset is that when authors don't plan for Harems, the only way to do it is by being a fucking cheater with no possible chance of coming clean and be open and frontal about it. I hate to be put into the cheater role.

I get it, Harems are NOT for everyone. Both players and Devs have the right to not liking it. I HATE cheating way more than they hate Harems tho. Yet, it is common place to have multiple LI's and common place to go with them all. Why not block cheating if you don't want Harems? Allowing cheating is the BAD guy Harem.

You say you hate cheating but two out of three of the games in your sig have it. GH has had a cheating/netori scene in almost every update recently and Friends in Need has an unavoidable sex scene with Nicki while she's still dating Brent. I don't know why you are so vehemently against cheating, the unsatisfied wife is a classic harem game trope. Saying cheating has no place in harem games is utter nonsense, honestly. So what if it's a bad guy harem? Those are viable too. I love this game and all, but not every harem has to have a nice guy MC that's open and honest about everything from the start. That's your preference, nothing more.

I'm just a perv who wants to fuck as many attractive women as possible, so I always choose to have a relationship with a potential LI. I at least try to check out what the possible results are of the various choices and go back if I don't like the end result (speaking of CYOA and Fighting Fantasy type books, the five finger bookmarks would constantly be in use).

Of course if the VN writing sucks, then I drop it, doesn't matter how good it looks. Or it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I learnt A. Lesson and decided not try a game that's full of Putzes.

(There is though a VN I like that has a character I would like to reject but we are forced to pursue her, but I'll still check out the sex scenes).

The motorcycle girl and the girl who confronts the sniper are the same girl. It will be explained later (sniper is 0.4 and the explanation starts in 0.6).
About the hairdresser, in the first days (I think it's the second or third night) Martha (Mom) tells the MC that Norah has undeserved fame as a man-eater in town. The gossiping hairdresser shows it. People can be very envious when someone like Norah loses 80 pounds and gets the body she has now.
