How on earth do they have that as a business model? There'd be no way to verify that people are uploading their own stuff, so not only do they have the same potential copyright issues as every filehost, but they're potentially allowing people to profit off the work of others? That sounds like more of a legal nightmare than normal...

Also, would they get enough uploads to cover the P-site costs? I'd think they'd have to be paying some high sub rates to be early enough to have a chance to profit from this ... and that's presuming enough people even keep using that site after the more "known" sites are propagated ...

The business model is there.
For the server, it's a way of getting subscriptions and visibility. Mega did that until a year ago; for every person who bought a subscription and the first file they downloaded after subscribing was My Dorm, I got a small percentage of that subscription. Not something crazy, in two years it was working I got a bit over 380€ (a bit over 15.83€ on average). They paid in bitcoins. I am paying 100€/year (8.33€/month), not payable with the accumulated funds, for my Mega subscription (exclusive as Tropecita Games), so I was earning the whooping amount of ~7.5€/month. Yes, I'm transparent, sorry if that's surprising.

Moving it to the uploaders/leakers, if they leak enough games and earn 15.83€/month per game they leak, since they only need one account (3€/month, 1 TB of space), they can potentially earn some money. The last update of My Dorm (all versions, they don't upload Android pre-patched) weighs 10.4GB (they uploaded 9GB because they missed the Android pre-patched). That means they can potentially upload 113 games of the same size on average. 113x15.83=1,789€. Their costs would be 113x10(they leaked it in the 10€ tier)= 1130€ + 3€ of the subscription. If those numbers are correct, they would earn 656€/month (almost 6€ per game leaked). That's pocket money for most of us, but I guess in some countries, getting 6€ is enough to spend some time leaking a game. I guess they provide those links to several sites, so I wouldn't be surprised if they earn a lot more than those 15,83€ per game.

So they are covering for themselves.

As I said, if people want to stop leaks, download the games from Mega (not paying anymore) or GoFile.

Of course you don't. To you is just about satisfying an impulse, right? You wanted to know, you asked. Anyone else, be fucked... you couldn't care less.

What you don't understand that you did, is, you told everyone here, even the game creator, that you don't care about the game, the story, the work... no, you only care about a small detail, and the game is of no importance to you. You've identified the character you are interested in, and, you're not even interested in playing the game to find out what happens with her. No, you just want to know, so you can download the part you want and probably not even run the game and just extract the images.

- 2 posts so far, one to ask a offensive question and one whining because you didn't get the answer you wanted.

Based on this, no, I am NOT being unfair with you. You are however being unfair to Trope, and to the rest of us.
