... and since I never save over saves unless I'm getting rid of them for some reason (My current save page is in triple digits), I didn't realize that saving over a slot doesn't keep the previous name ...I'll check out the settings. However, I'm not sure how others do it, but I have names like this:
View attachment 4783206
I save to the same slot I load from so that every time I load that save, it has the major parameters I've chosen as the "split" points for making that save and moving forward.
I'm not doing it in this VN, but if I were to do something like take every major iteration and save it at the end of a release, then pick up and make a new save as of the new release, what went into the new slot would get a new name, or at least a chapter/episode/release tag, but the underlying "major decisions" of the save wouldn't change, so having a name that stays the same makes the most sense, at least the way I play, and the way I suspect most people play.
Having to type in a save name every time, especially if you have multiple paths due to all of the potential branches involved in a VN with this much going on, gets cumbersome.
I screenshot my most complex page - pages 1-3 each have four saves, leaving room for expansion, with a pregnancy/no pregnancy iteration of each of two primary path variations on the page.
Maybe others really aren't tracking this way and just throw a save where they feel like it and they just know they're all a little different and what they get, they get. But, I have a more organized mind than that. Maybe I'm the outlier. Who knows.
EDIT: Elhemeer - you posted as I was typing. Basically, once I save to a slot, I keep saving the same version to the same slot every time. There's no need to change the name once I've saved to the slot because that save is built upon the major branching decisions (at least decisions I thought could be major) at the point I created a separate save for a variance to/branch from a previous path. Retyping it every time just takes extra time, and the way the text boxes work, editing is a nuisance.
Wait you guys have mulitple saves?... and since I never save over saves unless I'm getting rid of them for some reason (My current save page is in triple digits), I didn't realize that saving over a slot doesn't keep the previous name ...
some games I have one save every 2-3 rollback segments ...Wait you guys have mulitple saves?
On a serious note i usually only have one save unless, i want to see both sides of a branching path.
I have either 5 or 9 pages of saves, Every choices gets saved only for minor reasons.Wait you guys have mulitple saves?

I usually have one main save, then another one with another playthrough to test some changes/things, and then just for the case I use 2-3 backup spot because sometimes saves break and I'm unable to continue.Wait you guys have mulitple saves?

One save for each Day start. One set for the English play and another set for the Spanish one.Wait you guys have mulitple saves?

One save per Update named "End of V0.XX" for the sake of backup if a save breaks I only have to go back 1 update.Wait you guys have mulitple saves?

Watersports fans??Fuck! Most of us played the last leak. What are we actually now?![]()
...that's MY thing, dammit.it's only seen as odd by those that have poor organization and for some reason live to be chaotic
There is one in Seasons 2 and 3. There will be one in Season 1 tooOne thing that's really missing in this game is a gallery.
I'm slower than any slow reader. I'm still on the first season. I like to savor situations. I read and reread the same sequence of sentences over and over again, trying to immerse myself more and more. This slows down the whole process. So yes, I'm still on the first season. Obviously, I must really like the game to make me go back and reread it.There is one in Seasons 2 and 3. There will be one in Season 1 too
I just did that with the Spanish version, so, I know what you mean.I'm slower than any slow reader. I'm still on the first season. I like to savor situations. There's nothing bad about taking your time to enjoy the different scenes. That's why the game is there. There isn't a correct or wrong pace to play or read any game or book.I'm slower than any slow reader. I'm still on the first season. I like to savor situations. I have the same problem when I'm translating and talking on forums and Discord. I end up thinking in EnglishI just did that with the Spanish version, so, I know what you mean.

BTW, Trope, I shouldn't have done it all at once... I've been having trouble NOT thinking in Spanish (Portuñol). My brain is a mess right now.
But, it was worth it. Really enjoyed your writing in a completely different way. While some effort was done to make the English MC more colloquial, it is a lot better in Spanish. Less stiff, less serious, the internal monologues and intrusive thoughts look and feel REAL.
Good job Mate. Damn good job.
Peace![]()
The first time I read The Lord of the Rings, it took me about 10 months. I don't know how many times I went back 20 or 30 pages to reread them. After reading it for the first time, I must have read it another 15 times. With a book, it's even worse because after reading something, I can stop and imagine it for half an hour. With a VN, that doesn't happen because the images are shown to me. Although... even with VN, I find myself stopping and redrawing the images in my head. There's nothing bad about taking your time to enjoy the different scenes. That's why the game is there. When I'm translating Personal Letters, or something not related to official sources, I often use the equivalent to express the phrase. even if it is not directly translated 1 on 1, eg.: "Esta lloviendo a cantaros" (it's raining buckets) ; you can translate or Blackcrow could edit to: it`s raining puppies or it's raining cats and dogs !, it is true what FG said, in Spanish the "Dirty Talk, and the general tone of MC and the Girls sounds more colloquial, (I'm biased here, since the Spanish version is closer to my culture, than the English version. The English version, even if I put a lot of effort into it and Crow did some magic, is a translation, so there is always something that doesn't translate too well and I should change the whole sentence, or add something new to keep the same meaning, making it more wordy and less natural.
I've heard that in English, just not so often. My personal fave (which I've encountered even less often) is "it's raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock..."(it's raining buckets)
