It was a running gag for the team in the 90s when they were starting to dominate the League, so, totally understandable. :ROFLMAO:

I learned this in the late 60's, early 70's, can't precise... The thing is, I was taught "Petite" instead of "Gentille", probably an error by the teacher... And yes, I HAD to learn French, up until 11th grade.

I may have used it maybe 10 or 15 times since. By now, I can read French. I have no idea if I can write in it, but I wouldn't dare speak it even if I can kinda understand it if spoken slowly and with a neutral accent. And to think I was once an A+ student of it... Ah well...

Peace :D

I'm pretty sure you can write in French too. Of course you'll probably do a couple of errors since it's been a long time, but English isn't my first language too and I know people can point my errors when I write, but generally I can write good enough so it isn't a problem.

Sure it will be the same for you too.:)

By the way, I think it awesome that you still can read French after all these years! I know French people who lived in the States for like 15-ish years and they lose some French when the read/write it.:ROFLMAO:

The secret to speaking French properly is to get half in the bag first, engage your best condescending tone of voice, then deliberately mumble, rather than trying to enunciate. ;)
