That's France French for ya!The secret to speaking French properly is to get half in the bag first, engage your best condescending tone of voice, then deliberately mumble, rather than trying to enunciate.![]()

There are many now. We unloaded the horse piss on the brits mostly (Bud is the #2 beer there now - and they should know better). It depends on where in NA you're located ofc, but for Canuck beer I recommend La Fin Du Monde.Well, at least one drinkable beer in Northamerica.....![]()

All of a sudden, I have an inexplicable urge to put on a hockey jersey and tuque, eat some back-bacon, and drink some Molson...

Your point is well-taken, Gino, and it is admittedly very North America-centric. To be clear, none of what I've posted is intended to be an insult against Canadians... I genuinely hold my "friends to the North" in very high regard (and I would gladly take PM Carney over the buffoon in the White House in a heartbeat... maybe we could become Canada's 11th province, or 4th territory), and was just making comedic(?) reference to the humor referenced previously in this post. For what it's worth, I actually enjoy being exposed to most European national and regional comedic references, when they're presented in a form of light-hearted, collegial banter.Guys, you're the only ones enjoying this Canada vs. USA game (???) . I'm not even sure it's between Canada and the USA. These things are normal. In Italy, we have rivalries between various cities. Pisa and Livorno, for example. Bologna and Ferrara, equally famous. But if I talk about this, only I and the few Italians here will understand.
I'm not arguing with what you said. I'm saying that I don't live in that scenario and so many things escape me because I don't experience them firsthand. They don't make me laugh or smile. I don't understand them at all and they bore me. I can tell you how things work with schools, healthcare, or taxes in Italy... anecdotes that you wouldn't even partially understand if you didn't know the context. So please, let's leave these sector-specific issues aside and get back to talking about my dorm, which we all know about. A digression on pineapple pizza is acceptable, but a regional digression is not appreciated.Your point is well-taken, Gino, and it is admittedly very North America-centric. Anyway, thank you for your patience and indulgence.
