Anyway, I hope this isn't the last time we see Solomon. I really like him as a character, even if he's secondary. In this update I didn't enjoy his part as much as the previous ones, but I hope he gets a chance to redeem himself.

Nah, I like him better as a punching bag. ;)
I repeat, I'm not talking about Solomon the man, who can redeem himself from the mess he made. I'm saying that he can be used for a lot of funny scenes where he gets the punishment he deserves for what he did in life.

Thanks guys... I've calmed down a bit...

About the naming conventions:

- Usually the default name
- Unless it's something stupid or silly
- Then there's some Dean, some Sam, some Neil, some Trent...
- If the game is set in an Asian setting it's almost always Li...
- BUT
- If it is Name and Surname, then it's ALWAYS, Peter Parker.

The why's are diverse. Mostly I couldn't care less what is the name of the MC. Except if the Dev call him Chad or Eric, or something stupid/silly.

There's one other thing, even when the game is in the first person, I never self insert. You see, I SUFFER from an heightened empathy. I cry real tears watching the fucking News, or a fucking singing contest. I empathize WAY too much without even trying to self insert.

I've only allowed myself the mistake of opening myself to ONE story here. LoF. Never, ever, ever, again. I don't regret it, no. But I will NOT put myself at such a risk again. That time it went... let's say... kinda well. But, I had alarm bells ringing for weeks. I am always VERY close to a depression, I can't risk it... I really can't. So, no self inserts for me. So, the name, is rather unimportant.

If you look at the names I usually choose, you can guess where they come from... I just swap fictional characters...

And again, I managed to make a stupid ass post about nothing important...

Mark Marks, our MC, is a good enough alliterate name, worthy of a Hollywood A-Lister. I saw no reason to even consider changing the Dev chosen names.

Peace :D

I always use my own name.
Same, same.

Until.... I played a game where the MC's father (who he never knew) has my name and the dialogue was so fucking confusing; "I want you to meet someone. This is Max, Max's son."

"You are so different than Max, what's your name? Max? You look so different than Max, Max."

"Do you know who Max really was, Max? Max was [...] and you are so different than Max because you aren't him. You are Max!"

.....

I gave up.

I used Jade until I started bumping into LIs named Jade and it became confusing. You're basically gambling that someone in the story doesn't share your name unless you have prior knowledge or an unusual name.

Naming the MC Jade also makes Dragon Quest XI a wild ride once Jade gets added to the party.
